Just finished my first VATSIM flight.  What an experience.  Although I spent most of the time on UNICOM, the bit of interaction I had with a controller was amazing and a first for me.  Definitely much better style of playing FSX

 

Here are some pictures, departed KLVK to KSNA.  Only area that had some controllers active, the rest were too far apart.

Thanks man.  Just got home from work, going to see if I can do a flight.  I will be traveling in a Airbus A320 tomorrow from KFLL to KDCA for a weekend getaway, so if I can't get a flight in tonight, I won't till next week.

Roundtrip to the Baltics today. Flying from Oslo to Tallinn as DY1060 and Tallinn to Oslo as DY1061. Quite a few shots, hopefully you won't be too bored. 

 

Aircraft used was LN-DYR featuring "Asbjørnsen & Moe" - famous Norwegian folkorist duo active in the 1840s - on the tail.

After a quick crossing over Sweden and the Baltic Sea, we're on final for rwy 08 in Tallinn with the Gulf of Finland as a nice backdrop

The church you see in the background is called "Saint Olav's Church". It was originally constructed in the 12th century. From 1944-1991 the KGB used the church tower for radio transmissions and surveillance. 

 

The castle just in front of the church is the "Toompea Castle". In existence since the 9th century. Today, it houses the Estonian Parliament.
