May 25, 201412 yr I'm not getting this.... what planes have it installed? Is it only 2D panels because I never fly those anymore. Right now, it is a 2D popup which is installed on the default C172 for instance and it is a "display only", which has to be placed into the 3D bezel of any plane (freeware, payware) that uses a GNS 400/430. That can be done with plane maker (if I got that right), but I have no idea how that works! ;-)
May 25, 201412 yr Moderator As Mik75 said, you need to enable it on other planes using planemaker, but also third parties should start updating their planes/helis soon. I don't yet have it installed, as I'm away from my computer till Tues, but I'll do a quick tutorial when back.
May 25, 201412 yr I enabled it in the systems folder under the (I think) standard dropdown. There is a section that allows you to click the "new" (the "old") is selected by default. There is a pilot and a copilot selection. After clicking "new" on both and going back and attempting to "save", it tells me to go into the panel edit and select copilot. I can find no "copilot" selection box in the panel edit section. From this point out, regardless of what you check (tried unchecking the previously selected "new" and moving back to old "old") I get this warning message about selecting copilot. Can't figure it out. Must be missing something! :( John John Wingold

May 25, 201412 yr Commercial Member Is that a bug? It shows, while being for ex. at LFMN runway, the airport LFMN in a distance. Also any ideas on how to map range etc. buttons in a 3D cockpit? Are those only available in the popup or can they be found in Planemaker or datarefs?

Pascal Thanks guys. I finally found the copilot check-box. With all the help you guys provided, I still failed to notice that it was on the very bottom bar of the 3D panel update screen. I'm good to go now! John John Wingold
May 25, 201412 yr Haven't gotten it to work on most of my Carenados, seems like the PA46 and above releases are the only ones it works with and only the b200 is capable of displaying it in the 3DVC.
May 25, 201412 yr I have it installed on the Carenado B-58 Baron and the A-340. I haven't tried on any other plane. Can it be installed on say the King Air C-90B? It only has one GPS installed by default... On the ones I have it installed, you can click on the device and it puts a 2D image up and you can set up all your stuff. Once set, you click on the 3D panel again and it goes back with the new data inserted. The settings are much easier. Just get your little or large + or - arc and roll the mouse wheel to scroll the letters/numbers. It even seems - if you use the clicks instead of the mouse wheel - to anticipate where you want to go by skipping unused letters. Another learning curve, but, thanks to you guys, I can get in there and play with it now! John John Wingold
May 25, 201412 yr I have it installed on the Carenado 208 and B90. In each case, I opened the plane in planemaker and under the systems menu just updated the Pilot GPS to ARINC capable. That is all I did in PlaneMaker. I left the Copilot GPS at legacy. I did NOT change anything under the 2D or 3D panels. This worked perfectly for the B90. You click on the GPS and it pops up. The system works correctly with the HSI and you can fly GPS approaches. Hit NAV on the autopilot and it will follow right along. For the 208, you have to turn on the weather radar. When you do that, then you can pop up the GPS. Works correctly with the HSI.
May 28, 201412 yr Author Thanks charlesmc - I got it working in the C90 as well! for now I'll use the popup - to be honest I'm afraid that vc integration clickspots will be ultra tiny as usual. And they should seriously add STAR/SIDS | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 28, 201412 yr Moderator And they should seriously add STAR/SIDS Hopefully this will come later, but it's really good considering if you wanted the same previously your only option was RealityXP whose developer disappeared a while ago.
May 28, 201412 yr Author I use RXP for FSX with updated navdata. But I went straight to 64bit XP so RXP was never an option. I'm happy with the 2d popup but would like to see more functionality - especially since they said it worked like the real one. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 29, 201412 yr Author Ugh I attempted to install this to my other Carenado planes and the freeware Eclipse but both gave warnings. The carenado (Baron and A36) just wouldn't work said I have two already. And the eclipse said I needed to delete the other GPS not sure what that means or how to do it. So basically it's not really a drag and drop type of operation....
