If it's Richard Branson, then maybe he wanted a way for Joe Normal to be able to experience a flight in Spaceship One?

I was asking Aerosoft a while ago about doing Spaceship one and spaceport America and I think they were interested. Later they said Branson wanted huge bucks for it and it was impractical.

He seems like somebody who would do this sort of thing under certain circumstances, but I don't think its him.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

P3D is not in any way connected to MS anymore - it is an independent product and anything that follows FSX will compete with it, what matters now is how much money the new owner will want to make out of his investment and to what extent he is tied to MS distribuition, this new development will split the community and 3rd party developers in the same way that FSX and FS2004 did.

If LM got it, then I'd buy satisfied.

Please, not EA or Ubisoft.

Hope so too, but could see merger with truck, or train simulator.

I'm hoping ... Bruce Artwick

From original announcement ...... "We can also tell you that the licensee is not one that we would have thought to have been a logical candidate in terms of direct knowledge of the product",

Keep guessing  B)

We already have FSXI. It's called Prepar3d v2 and the current FSX is years behind it in development now. Some sucker bought a White Elephant. If they really did buy it at all. It's more likely this topic is complete bollocks. There is no evidence that anyone bought anything.

Haha, I would doubt that Bert ... Ballmer is looking to buy a sports team ... not to mention all the legal ramifications around him buying something from what he sorta owns anyway.  Just like it probably is NOT Bill Gates either ... all kinds of legal issues around that.

Tom's elusive details say "individual" so it's not EA, not LM, not Boeing.

Harrison Ford or John Travolta maybe -- they both enjoy flight and have their on pilot's licenses and aircraft and both have the cash -- but I can't see them having much interest in flight simulation when they enjoy the real deal.

Although the news is interesting, I can't see this news. even as optimistic as I am, as having any impact on "this" flight simulation community for at least 2-5 years.  Consider how long it took to get MS Flight out in it's VERY limited scope (3 years).

Cheers, Rob.

I'm not buying that until I can use all my addons for free in it. It's a copy paste of FSX with improvements, so I don't see the logic in buying all addons twice.

Rob, I never used the word "individual" in the news story. I used the word "licensee". A licensee can be a company as well as an individual. The licensee is NOT an individual.
