No takeoff announcement

Featured Replies

Jaap, left clicks with the mouse are correct; Rick was stating that the keys to click on are on the right-hand side of the CDU.

Please upload a screenshot of your PFD (Primary Flight Display) during takeoff, so we can take a look at that, too.

He has done  all this  as shown in the screen shot he gave on the other thread on this, has to be some thing  simple  that we are missing, once he has shown the screen shot of the pfd  will confirm this

Boy, this one is a head-scratcher.

Definitely ...

In FSX there are two options to set sound devices and four options to activate and set volumes for sound channels (if I remember correctly ...).

Have you double-checked, both device options are set to your device in use, and all four sound channels are activated with volume sliders between 50% and 100%?

if he hadn't  than he  wouldn't  hear any call out at all,  he  does hear the call outs on descent  but not  on take off which is the most puzzling  thing  about  his issue, like I said its some thing simple  we are missing

This afternoon i checked the sound again,

-  With Boeing 747-8i/F, Call Outs during takeoff or descent are perfect.

-  With Boeing 777-200LR/F, Call Outs during takeoff or descent, i heare only runway information, runway number, how much left over of the runway, and it's a short runway.

Sorry, I thought the 747-8i/F descent sound was good, but even after listening carefully you will notice that it is not the same.

Callouts as V1, VR and V2 are set on or off through the FMS in PMDG SETUP -> OPTIONS -> SIMULATION and then page 3/6.

I see this has been replied before. This does not work?

Have you switched between B777 liveries?

Whatever your settings for the V speed callouts are, they only refer to a single livery. As soon as you switch to another airline, you have to check the V speed callouts in the CDU again.

In other words: V speed callouts are per airline only. Every livery has, carries and stores its own callout settings.

Very, very good point, Oliver. I'm really surprised none of us thought the obvious, earlier in this thread. Spot-on, Oliver. Again. I regularly do that when switching liveries.

Hope this cracks it for Jaap.

As I said it in my previous post it  be  a simple solution that we all missed   glad you picked it up lol.. Hope this sorts out the issue

My PMDG Setting are OK, the same like Heffron, only it doesn't work?

Oliver, i only trying out 747-i8 again for looking at the speed tape, indeed after entering V1,VR,and V2 in speed tape appears V1 speed,

Under here Boeing 747-i8 before and after entering CDU V1, VR and V2,

So it should be Oliver?
