June 11, 201411 yr My friend that is one beast of a computer . A 4770k with a gtx 780 can run FSX and all the other addons you have their easily . my tip would be to get a good cooler ( something like an H100I ) so you can overclock your CPU to around 4.4 ghz . also your ssd isnt enough for fsx and other addons , after some time you will probably need another hard drive . so my recommendation is to use the ssd strictly for installing your operating system on and get a separate hard drive to download fsx and all the other addons ( 1 TB is good ) and my last tip is to get windows 7 instead of windows 8 ( my opinion personally ) just my 2 cents . cheers B) Faisal Altheyab

June 12, 201411 yr 1T ssd added Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit added Tnx alot ! hello I think a 1tb ssd is too much ( thats if they even exist to my knowledge ) you'll be better off getting a 1tb Westren digital hard drive . actually i think for a price of a 1tb ssd you can probably get 3 x 1tb Hard drives cheers Faisal Altheyab

My recommendation would be - get two SSD's preferably 60GB each, get two 1 TB HDD's one SSD with Windows 7 on it and the other with Windows 8.1 on it, using the hard drives for storage. That way you can switch between the two OS's using Windows 7 for FSX and Windows 8.1 for your games. Personally I would change the SLI 780's for a single TITAN Black! My 4770K is overclocked to 4.5GHz using the Corsair H110 for cooling, I recommend liquid cooling over air but its all down to personal preference.

Im not building the pc myself, but ordering it from a company, and don't think i can choose where to place the OS system.. There is water cooling. I forgot to write that down.. The titan black is just to expencive.. Will it make a huge difference? Tnx for all the help guys ! Really appreciatre it !

June 13, 201411 yr Get the 4790k instead of the 4770k same price but the 4790k is a faster CPU Also make sure you get a z97 motherboard so you can run the broadwell cpu's when they come out the Z87 is a lame duck in that only haswell will run on it. June 13, 201411 yr Without windows 7 nosale period. FSX has too many issuses in windows 8 the joystick disconnecting, and SP1 and SP2 only work with disabling hidden administrator with Windows 8.
