June 11, 201411 yr I started my cruise aboard the Sirocco GT2 from the mouth of the Squamish River, in B.C. As I headed out into the Bay proper...there was not much water animation, very calm...but as I headed down the coast...about 12 miles...the wind started to pick up..and low and behold, waves started forming upon the water..and in some areas...good-sized swells, causing the hull to move up and down upon them. So...the water in P3D is not canned....but will react to wind speed, and wind direction. Also...shadows...this is so adding to realism...as I head under cloud cover...the whole scene darkens, terrain, water...amazing....just as it would in real life. This sim, rocks....in the air...or upon the water. Simply rocks....
June 12, 201411 yr Agreed about up at altitude. Does not look very good from up high...but down low is fantastic.
June 12, 201411 yr Author Agreed about up at altitude. Does not look very good from up high...but down low is fantastic. I agree. I think that best all-round depiction of waves in action is still FSX running under Steve's DX10 Fixer. Especially with water textures from REX4 Direct. Having said that...when you are ON the water in P3D...it is just fine. Am having a blast going out of Orbx's new CYSE (Squamish) and have already rented for the Summer, a boat slip...LOL! Hey...I can really get into this, you know? ^_^ I'm sure glad that I am burning virtual diesel...those twin motors sure consume the liquid gold.... I can't imagine truly, how much owning, running, and maintaining a real yacht, can run up to, on a yearly basis. Probably as much as owning, flying, and maintaining an aircraft such as the Beechcraft Baron 58 Turbo! can you make a video? I guess that I could...but I don't run any software to do it. I never had the director's urge, lol

June 12, 201411 yr Not yet. Here's the link to Orbx's master P3D2-ready scenery: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/68566-master-list-of-all-p3d2-ready-orbx-products/ ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
June 12, 201411 yr Sweet! Excited to grab Monterrey and Squamish here soon. Anyone know if KORS has a P3D v2 installer yet? Anxiously waiting for KORS update myself. I did get it work though in P3d V2.2. Just make sure you put the Orbxlibs below KORS in Scenery libraray, otherwise the scenery would not load and I was getting the default airport.

June 12, 201411 yr Author You can use the nVidia GeForce Experience ShadowPlay and it works very nice and easy even with P3D v2 Spirit Ok...I will try that, some time. I have never enabled that part of the suite package, so will have to ramp up with it. There was a cruise (water...) I took out of CYSE that gave me whip-lash of the neck...as Dawn broke out towards Day...and the sun slowly played shadows across the hull and fly deck. It was as in real life...as well as going under the clouds and their effect upon the water and terrain of the land, mountains...etc. A hooked fish, am I! Totally, beyond hope, kinda hooked..... Thanks for the tip, Spirit! Mitch Sweet! Excited to grab Monterrey and Squamish here soon. Anyone know if KORS has a P3D v2 installer yet? I don't have Monterrey yet...but Squamish will blow you away. I think it is the finest custom install of any of ORBX, I have installed to date. I flew up over the glaciers, and the snow pack looked as real, as anything one would see in Alaska. I don't know how they do this all...but would LOVE to sit in on a Story Board Session.
