July 15, 201411 yr that's part of dealing with fsx, no tweeks in the world will help this, unless you run no autogen
July 15, 201411 yr I used to be annoyed by autogen popping but somehow it no long matters. I think what happened is that my focus shifted away from soaking in the eyecandy and more towards piloting my aircraft. Possibly my year old 4770k/780 computer had something to do with it as well. July 16, 201411 yr That's it. There is nothing you can do about it. Unless you use, as you said, P3D 2.2. ^_^ You will still see popup in P3D but in the far, far way distance (also depending on your altitude. And the weather). It's so much better than it is in FSX. Not what I experienced. no popping autogen in P3D V2.2 but the level of autogen distance detail is less than in FSX so you end up with a band of autogen around you then just the base texture. Another reason I've removed P3D and come back to FSX! Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. HoneyComb Throttle & Flight System. Another reason I've removed P3D and come back to FSX! I've heard that before, yes, but imho the autogen stops far, far away. Guess it's a matter of opinion which also depends on your zoom settings and regular flying altitude.

Another reason I've removed P3D and come back to FSX! Funny... I still have the "band of autogen" around me in FSX, only it's a smaller band AND it pops. At least in P3D it's a wider band and not as poppy... ;-)

July 16, 201411 yr From the look of your avatar perhaps too much poppy? Oh boy - - I wish! Need to move to Colorado or Washington FAST!
