August 3, 201411 yr Should work right away, after all, we will have to pay for the program, so it should work Could it be Windows 8.1 ? I am going to check this out in windows 7 soon, will take a while. Or could it be P3DV22 ? I'M still having a rather difficult time with it even after wasting 140 bucks on a top notch USB headset with microphone boom. Even when it does work I have to yell into the mic Now if we could just get over the stumps we encounter by occasionally resorting to a text selection or even if we could type in our comms that would at least make the product worth buying
August 3, 201411 yr Im now in Win 7 and FSX, and still having considerable difficulties with P2ATC voice recognition. Its a game breaker for me Only got one call back so far. At least the headset has 7.1 surround and engine sounds are super great
August 3, 201411 yr Than if you still having issue than must be the timing of when you press the mic button and releasing since I had the same issue as you, till I worked out the timing of pressing and releasing, you can change the timing to suit you in the options I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg

That must be it and after four requests for altimeter during the last 12 minutes enroute I can now say it has been remedied...so far. And now I got descent instructions COOL it works now THANK YOU PETE and DAVE

August 3, 201411 yr Finally, cleared to land at Manchester EGCC no problems was understood most of the time So that's a SALE will get the CC out tomorrow or sooner or later... The trick is to increase the time % settings One question if anyone knows the answer: I have FSX on Win7 and P3DV22 on win 8.1 >> will P2ATC install with one license on both OS, same computer? If not I will just keep it to PD3V2 Allen
August 3, 201411 yr THANK YOU PETE No need you did all the work just tried to help you, to your other question on the licence don't know about that one iam sure Dave will see this and respond I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
August 3, 201411 yr Commercial Member Fantastic News on Getting the Settings right! As for licensing, P2ATC can be used with any and all Sims running on the same computer, no problem. So you can have P3D, FSX and X-Plane installed on the same computer, with a large hard drive, and P2ATC will automatically connect and work with whichever SIM you start up. I have not tried it on a dual boot computer running the same instance on both OSs. It will probably work, but it will depend if the Licensing Software recognizes the two OSs instances as the same device or not. I run FSX on Win 8.1 no problem and so can get all SIMs on one 8.1 machine. Let us know how this works out. Dave
August 3, 201411 yr Hi I had same problems as above I found the 80% and 40% in the speech settings work best for me, did this several days ago and had no problem since. Mhazy
August 3, 201411 yr Saved my settings to 60 and 60% like John and saw a vast improvement...Thanks John for your efforts. EDIT: 50% & 60%. Dave, A voice recognition problem. Scenario: At KATW, Ground, 121.7. Controller is ANY. Phrase is Information Request. Using Example: Ground, Beech One Victor Bravo, Radio Check. Comes out on the Grammar screen in green as; Ground Beech One Victor Bravo Ready to Taxi. Anna answers with complete taxi instructions. Tried this 4 times in a row, same result. All other examples within the InformationRequest within "any" Controller are perfect. EDIT: the radio check as noted above also comes out with a Ready to Taxi in the PracticeSpeech function. Could you check and see if you get the same result. August 3, 201411 yr :He He: I am now a LICENSED Pilot2ATC flight simmer Since my last corrective tweaks this app works GREAT, enough to take out the cc
August 4, 201411 yr Same here, changed the delay settings and things are better. These settings should be the default so people new to the software have less issues. However after flying the tutorial flight I have some suggestions: 1) The cockpit is a busy place; would it be possible to have a text prompter which displays what you need to say (including your callsign for ease of use). I find the biggest issue is remembering in the heat of the moment, although I'm sure it gets easier with use. 2) On approach vectors those pesky controllers give me instructions every 10 secs, with bizarrely precise headings (e.g. "turn right heading 204"). Then a few moments later ("Turn right heading 211). I can't keep up with this! Perhaps this needs some refining with 5 degree denominations? I was also asked to descend and maintain 2700 feet, then 5 mins later 3700 feet... 3) I admit to being used to VoxATC where as soon as you connect you are told the frequency to tune and prompted what to say, which is TBH much more user friendly. You can even do so in mid-flight as long as you have a flight plan filed. As the only 3rd party ATC available for X-Plane Pilot2ATC has free reign right now, but I would like to see user friendliness as a priority over new features. For example, a plugin for X-Plane which displays the ATC text in a little box along with a prompt with your text, and perhaps the current frequency to tune to. Many thanks.
August 4, 201411 yr Commercial Member Chuck, Thanks for the error report. Will be fixed in 1.4 release. Dave, all good ideas. And in the plan. Will have the default speech settings in the 1.4 for sure. Thanks, Dave
August 5, 201411 yr Suggestion for 1.4 : call it the ATC shuffle A trigger to shuffle, arbitrarily/randomly both the voice source and its time delays/accelerators of the 3 choices from Windows 8.1 speech set for the various ATC positions.. Would make for some variety instead of the predictability of our own set in configuration manager.
August 5, 201411 yr This is what you call service people put in suggestions and the dev tries to add them in the next update :Applause: I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
