August 2, 201411 yr This was a joy to fly, don't know how accurate it is to real world, but there is one at my FBO that I can rent for $255/hr ... I might get an instructor to take me up for "exploratory" flight. It does seem slow to get moving and very hard to stop (need to check my toe brakes, make sure I'm getting full range) ... my landing was a little scary! Love the G600, the TAWS (Terrain awareness) system was very nice. The weather radar worked well also ... from the manual "Precipitation or objects more dense than water, such as earth or solid structures, will be detected by the weather radar. The weather radar will not detect clouds, thunderstorms or turbulence directly. It detects precipitation associated with clouds, thunderstorms, and turbulence." Just a very short flight, but so far I'm impressed ... everything works including lights. If someone knows how to turn off the right seat MFD let me know ... it seems they are linked and can't be configured independently of each other. Cheers, Rob.
August 2, 201411 yr Rob, Are the cockpit shadows not anti aliased, or is that an option? Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
August 2, 201411 yr Very nice video! The sky looks amazing, and the cockpit of the Seneca V looks really nice. Are the cockpit shadows not anti aliased, or is that an option? I agree that the flickering shadows kind of kill the immersion, but I think Rob has set the shadow quality to Medium, so a higher setting will make them sharper.
August 2, 201411 yr Are the cockpit shadows not anti aliased, or is that an option? I posted information about ground/cloud shadow quality here http://forum.avsim.net/topic/447638-p3d-v23-beta-2-testing/?p=3047814 which does impact cockpit shadow quality regardless of one's Shadow Quality set via the UI. It's a performance to visual trade-off. Cheers, Rob.
