Aivlasoft Efb Help Please

Featured Replies

Hi Guys having one issue with Aivlasoft flight plan software - yes I posted in Their forums and have no idea what I am talking about - anyway if I do a flight plan the ats routing window does not populate with all of the needed info hence when it saves out the flightplan its not correct - if you see screenshots the one that looks correct is from an avsim review and the second shot shows my problem - any help would be appreciated on this one

We have already discussed this on the forum. In your example above you don't have a route, you only have the origin airport (KPHX) and a STAR (SILOW3) and a transition (BCE) at your destination airport (KDEN). You need to provide the intermediary navigation points yourself by using some flight planning software or one of the website based flight planners, there are even a few of these web based ones built into EFB if you look in the Select flight area. If you don't know what any of this means then I suggest you research by looking at some Youtube videos, I am sure there will be some on there showing you how to use EFB.

Just to expand on this a little more, the numbered waypoints you do see in your example are the component parts of the STAR and Transition only, these waypoints will never show in the ATS routing box because there is no need to supply them as its already known that SILOW3 contains those waypoints, so there is no need to clutter the ATS routing box anymore than necessary. The whole point of the ATS Routing box is to abbreviate the whole route as much as possible.

Cheers, Andy.

How are you entering the route to start?  I am not sure how you get "Route Generator:undefined".

I entered your KPHX-KDEN route and saved and re-loaded, mine looks fine.  On routes like the first (review), as a matter of fact most all of my routes I will enter by copying either from FightAware, or, PFPX into the "ENTER ROUTE DESCRIPTION".  My "Route Generator" comment line  (about middle screen) reads "ATS Description".  Do not know if that implies anything, but a thought.

Have you run an update in data provider to be safe?

Good Luck.

My Aivlasoft EFB works fine.  You've got to make sure you select where you want to generate the flight plan from.  Once you do that, the flight plan section will populate.

Hi Rich,

I'm running from memory here as I don't use it as often as I used to however you need to hit select tab in top left hand corner and that should give you a list of sites that you can import the plan from.  I think vatsim and route finder are listed as well as a couple of others.  All you need to do is select which one you want to get the route from and it will be inserted into EFB.

I tend to use EFB only as a moving map now that I have PFPX so it's been a while since I've imported a route.

I could help you out more if I was at my FSX machine so if you get stuck I can have a look tonight (Australian Time).

Ah Jas got yah I thought EFB did all of that - if I had to go to free sites to do this I wouldn't have paid the huge money this cost - thank you

Rich I agree with Jas best to use your EFASS planner and then import the plan. EFB is a phenomenal program especially for semi automatic Sids and Stars , A huge plus especially if you fly vatsim. And then of course you have the rest , ILS frequencies, All the charts , airport info and met info, Atis etc etc

Zoran you are spot on - thanks for the info - I cant believe this is not an option such as EFASS provides for a lot less money - its really good just wondering about the non - support in Their forums - hope they stay focused as its a great tool - take care Buddy

Hi Richard,

To echo Andy from earlier in this thread, the example you show in your KPHX SILOW3.BCE KDEN screenshot looks to be correct.

Looking at your list of waypoints, numbers 2 through 9 are the waypoints of the SILOW.BCE departure.  Numbers 10 through 14 appear to be taken from an approach (likely to 16R) and as such would never be represented in an ATS route string.

IRL, some companies do not include departure & arrival procedures for their route strings, some do.  Likewise, some companies do not include departure & arrival airports while others do.

Great info and thanks for taking the time to explain this  :) makes sense

What AndyDigital said is correct. I also use efb and pfpx together. I use pfpx to plan my flight and efb to have a visual representation of the route plus moving map. I think its alot more functional than efass. That software seems too cluttered to me.
