GTX770 2GB or 4GB & memory bandwidth

I'm on the verge of getting the Reference GTX780Ti as it doesn't look like there's going to be another price drop from £300.

So finally I bought the reference GTX780Ti with the Titan cooler £300, slightly more than I would have preferred for a reference card to be honest but the maximum I planned to spend on a GPU. I'll put it in my Q9650 PC until I do my i7-4790K build. My thinking was that even with no OC the performance will rival the OCed GTX780 cards but with less of a thermal penalty - indeed I actually prefer how the Titan Cooler exhausts the hot air out of the case. My understanding is that for flightsim applications there is limited return in OC graphics cards anyway (?).

Thanks for all who contributed to the thread.

Where did you find it at this price? I'm about to pull the trigger and upgrade my gtx770 to a 780ti while prices are low.

trust me, the more Vram in x-plane the better! I run X-plane with high settings, and top out at 3800Mb used, and that's with textures compressed! I would have double the Vram if I could......

Why? Get a 970 instead - about the same perf in some benches
