August 23, 201411 yr Author Anybody care to recommend OC GTX770s (2 or 4GB)? Top of my list are currently the EVGA cards. Because I'm not interested in OC the card myself, I'm interested in: Factory OC Value for money Warranty Regards, Django EGLL. | BMS | DCS OB | A-10C II | AV-8B | F-16C | F/A-18C | FC3 | Persian Gulf | Supercarrier | Tacview | XP11 | FF A320 | FF 757 | | I7-9700K + NH-D15 | RTX3080Ti 12GB | DDR4-3200 16GB | Aorus Z390 Ultra | 2X Evo 860 1TB | 850W | Torrent Case | | Warthog HOTAS + CH Pedals | 32" TV 1080p 60Hz | TrackIR5 |
August 23, 201411 yr EVGA is a reputable brand, so is ASUS.. I think you would be happy with either one. Bert
August 23, 201411 yr Author Starting to creep towards the GTX280! August 24, 201411 yr Author Sorry I got the coolers mixed up! The GTX770 has the ACX cooler. I'm very tempted to go for that GTX780, I just don't want to find GPU throttling at factory OC due to temps on that GTX780 with the Titan cooler. August 24, 201411 yr Go for the GTX780. I have exactly that EVGA 780 card and no problems with temps. The TITAN cooler is a very nice cooler. Cant believe how 'cheap' they are now compared to just over a year ago...
August 24, 201411 yr Paraphrasing Bogart in Casablanca: "If you don't get the 4GB card, you'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life". In all seriousness, I'd definitely suggest spending a little more for the 4GB GTX-770 - especially if you plan to use P3D. When it comes to VRAM, "It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it". August 25, 201411 yr In my opinion it is a question of FSX or P3D.. FSX: 2 GB is fine P3D: 4 GB might be nice to have.. X-plane: even more so.. Bert

No way go for the 780 3gb its anyway faster compared to a 770 4gb its not only the memsize, even in P3D V2. http://
August 25, 201411 yr @westman: I wish you would brush up your english a bit, I respect your knowledge but not the way you try to inform us, it´s really, really poor english. You are Swedish (my guess) - so you could do much better, try it, ok? What about this: "No way go for the 780 3gb its anyway faster compared to a 770 4gb its not only the memsize, even in P3D V2." Maybe my problem, I´m Danish, so please excuse, but I don´t get it....
August 25, 201411 yr "No way go for the 780 3gb its anyway faster compared to a 770 4gb its not only the memsize, even in P3D V2." Just missing some punctuation.. "No way! Go for the 780 3gb. It's anyway faster compared to a 770 4gb. It's not only the memsize - even in P3D V2." Bert
