Hi, I can't say if it's a common problem however, I certainly have noticed it since V2-3.

Phil

My VC is way too dark and the general appearance is like one large shadow. I obviously can not find the FSX equivalent of the High Global Textures textures. My setting looks like low to medium and I don't know how to improve the image.

I'm still at v2.2.

Suggestions?

Try turning off panel mip mapping and toggle HDR lighting to see if that helps

Chris

Thanks snglecoil,

I already have Mips unchecked and HDR off. It seems to brighten up a bit when I engage weather and select clear or cold front. But, it is not anywhere close to the sharpness in FSX.

Turn off FXAA - that's what I noticed makes things blurry...

Ryan, I haven't tried that yet. My thinking was that FXAA was what kept the jagged edges from appearing.

Yeah it does but I noticed it makes things a bit too blurry in P3D.

Too dark? What time of day are you flying? Take a look at some of the YouTube clips around... Are you not seeing a similar presentation? Cockpit looks fine to me. There are shadows where appropriate.

I have the same issue with the Airbus Extended.

Beech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?
ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry.
