October 5, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member Ohh Come on Lewis, just spill the beans!!!! What! And spoil all of our idle speculation fun? Never! Cheers, Nick Nick M - A2A Simulations
October 17, 201411 yr I thought it was confirmed to be a Bonanza but now I can't find that source. I think they are also doing a T-6 Texan.... which bores me hehe... but GA I'll buy! a Bonanza is 10 x as boring as a T6
October 17, 201411 yr I'd be willing to bet money that the next GA release from A2A is either a Bonanza or a Comanche. Jared Listinsky
October 17, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member a Bonanza is 10 x as boring as a T6 Well, although I've had a hankering for a decent AT-6 since Aeroworx so cruelly vanished into the ether while developing theirs, I'm not so sure about that! The Bonanza is a true GA classic, and if A2A really are making a V35 (or do in the future) then I'm sure we're in for a treat. I reckon the author of the following article would agree with the 'GA classic' thing. It's titled "Beechcraft V35B? If you don’t like this fantastic airplane, Hmmmmm, something might be wrong with you!" (Okay, maybe not the most balanced of articles then...) The rather fearsome reputation of the V-tail Bonanza, or 'Doctor Killer' is further discussed in this article: "What was wrong with the V-tail Bonanza pilots?" (Again, the tile says it all... As an aside, if you do type "Doctor Killer" into Google in the UK, the first link that comes up is to Harold Shipman. The second is to the Beechcraft Bonanza!) My FS experience of the Bonanza has so far been limited to the Dreamfleet A36 which I do rather miss. However, a beautiful vintage Bonanza would be the perfect follow-up to a 50 year old Cherokee... Boring? Nah! Cheers, Nick Err... If A2A are making something else, I'm sure it'll be lovely too! Nick M - A2A Simulations
October 17, 201411 yr However, a beautiful vintage Bonanza would be the perfect follow-up to a 50 year old Cherokee... But not the V-Tail eh? :( It never looked right to me, whereas the F33 does look right. In my 'umble opinion of course. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
October 17, 201411 yr The AT-6 will be a nice plane, but since they were just taking measurements, it is probably a long way out still. You can enjoy the fantastic freeware FASA T-6 in the meantime. The V-35 will be a fantastic plane for A2A, a perfect step up from the Cherokee, as they start to fill in their GA lineup. Cub, 172, Cherokee, V35?, Comanche?, Seminole?, Civil Mustang, that is quite a nice variety of GA performance and complexity levels between Cub and Mustang. October 17, 201411 yr C'mon, we need an A2A twin... - Paul Elliott http://www.avsim.com/topic/450607-amy-johnson-london-to-australia-attempt/
October 17, 201411 yr C'mon, we need an A2A twin... Oooh, for sure! The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
October 17, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member But not the V-Tail eh? It never looked right to me, whereas the F33 does look right. In my 'umble opinion of course. Aye! Ah ken what yer' sayin' Ron - ah ken what yer' sayin'! It does look a bit like someone's sandwiched the tailplane in a hangar door and the fin's dropped off... Does give it a certain, er, perkiness though! Not like the Fouga Magister (does anyone remember the 'Foufinn' package?) which looks like is was built for a V-tail (which I suppose it was!) Anyway - Bonanza, Comanche or whatever, just as long as it's got them new-fangled retractable wheels and a few other bells and whistles, it'll keep me amused for a while... Nick M - A2A Simulations
October 18, 201411 yr Truly aweome plane, but I will never like its autopilot and I don't blame A2A for that. John Miles
October 18, 201411 yr C'mon, we need an A2A twin... A nice turbo Rockwell Commander 690 would be nice? A classic
October 19, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member A nice turbo Rockwell Commander 690 would be nice? A classic  Yes indeed! The Aero Commander 500/600 series have been a bit neglected by devs. since the great freeware package for FS9 by Milton Shupe and co. And as far as complex singles go, I'd also love to see an A2A (or perhaps RealAir) rendition of a Rockwell Commander 114B one of these days. I spent a lot of time with the original FSD International Commander 115, and still have a soft spot for the chunky-looking blighter. Nick M - A2A Simulations
October 20, 201411 yr I'll autobuy anything GA from A2A, but nothing military. Ditto. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
October 20, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member I'll autobuy anything GA from A2A, but nothing military. Agreed also. Right up until the point A2A announce a C46, C47, Hurricane, Mosquito, Lancaster, Beaufighter, Gladiator, AT-6, Douglas Invader, etc. etc. Yeah - you get the point - I'm a man of weak resolve! Nick M - A2A Simulations
