August 25, 201411 yr So i had to reinstall my fsx but before i reinstalled my FSX my weatehr radar worked without having ASN, i'm shure i'm not the only one that has that, my weather radar worked with default and fs globar real weather, but now it's not working i have latest fsuipc installed 4.936, is there a way to make it work again? Thanks.
August 25, 201411 yr The weather radar is designed for ASN. It may seem to work with other weather engines from time to time, but in essence, it's doing exactly the thing that has had PMDG holding back for the last few years: presenting a pretty cloud map. There's a reason PMDG says it only works with ASN, and it's not because they have shares at HiFi. A cloud map and a weather radar are not the same thing. A cloud map may be a pretty little picture, but it's absolutely useless. Name available upon request

Do you have to buy ASN for the weather radar to work ? (i dont know what asn is)
