Traffic Optimizer for FSX/P3D

Mine is running on FSX:MS but running same issue too. Still couldn't figure out what went wrong. Any idea why I keep getting this error?

Do you have any SimConnect entries on the 2nd PC? What was the error on the FSX machine? I'm only asking on behalf of James as I am still running FSX:MS.

I suppose it wouldn't harm to mention version numbers too so he can compare.

Yes I do because I have FSX installed on this machine as it was my old FS machine until my new build. I can't imagine it would do anything though because I am not running FSX on the client machine so I don't expect the installed Simconnects will come into play.

Hmm. It's bizarre. I have WideFS running on a machine that was also my old FS machine, so it has Simconnects installed as well. I don't know whether that should make a difference or not (as you point out, Mark), but it's just so strange that it's working for you, with an apparently identical setup, and not for me...

I've spent a lot of time trying to get this to work for FSX-SE, both directly on the same machine and with WideFS, but sadly I think it's time to throw in the towel.

I did find this thread: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/simconnect-dll-versions.11059/ that seems connected to this, but the problem is that it looks like this is an issue for the utility developer to resolve, not end users. And he's not responding, sadly.

Really too bad, as this utility makes the difference between being able to fly out of major multi-airport hub cities like Paris and NYC and not.

Hey, this is a super-cool utility. Works great for me on P3D v2.5. Killing 200 flights didn't exactly make my FPS skyrocket (it went from mid 30's to high 30's in the best circumstance), but I imagine in crunch situations at complex airports it'll really help.

I know the author hasn't been around lately, but I'll raise a glass to him anyway. Nice work.

When I get a moment I will post my widefs.ini file....maybe that is the problem.

That doesn't sound right. I tried what you suggested above and still doesn't work. The Traffic Optimizer needs to be run AFTER the FSX is running not before FSX running.

I believe something to do with the connection of Traffic Optimizer and FSUIPC but I still can't point finger to. Other addon that rely FSUIPC is working fine with no issue. Just only Traffic Optimizer I have issue with.

Thank you

Just a question on Traffic Optimizer.  What does entering in the runways do?  Sometimes the runways in the drop down box are wrong and I still see aircraft landing/taking off in the wrong direction?

Mark   CYYZ

For me he works good :) thank you so much :)

However i have a special request for a dev, i would like to know if it's possible to add on option to resolve all aircraft around user aircraft while the cruize or after take off until landing

because all the time i have AI plane (stupid ATC) near of my user aircraft so i heard "traffic traffic" alarme .... it's not realistic i must change my route or climb or decent 2 or 3 times by flight

What do you think about this future option ?

Best regards

Bizzy dee

ps: when i say delete AI near user aircraft infact it's like a separation about 5 or 10 nm around like a big invisible bubble :)

If I understand I need to start FSX and get into plane? The  reason I ask is I'm on Windows 8 and with 737 NGX when i alt + tab from sim my joystick/yoke is gone. So if I need to fully fire up sim first - it's a no go to me until Windows 10 :(

I just installed P3D 2.5 and running the old airtrafficmanager.exe and now I get the following error:

I tried the newest exe listed at the top and i get the error

I have installed simconnect and am using a full version of FSUIPC

So a full uninstall and reinstall of simmconnect from the p3d\redist folder resolved this.

Im having the same issue, how did you uninstall and reinstall simmconnect? Does it effect other programs? i.e.ASN?

HI Jimmy, how did you get this to work for you? I'm getting an error when I try to start the program. Can you walk me thru your installation steps please?

@ MARKW The boxes where you put your dep and arr are just to ensure that the traffic at those airports are not deleted. Traffic manager does not control the flow only the amount. For flow try AI Monitor.
