Hey Jure. can you tell me what clouds u selected so I can try them? thx

great screenshots, really nice.As far as the way FE2004 depicts the weather outside, FE2004 is not a weather engine, it doesnt determin what weather is displayed it only uses the weather set you pick along with the weather engine you are using, and this is going to be different with each combination set you pick. Thats what we were shooting for, a random visualization of reality.heres something fun to do, get a friend with FSNet and FE2004, fly together and compair screenshots of the same flight, you'll see what we mean by random visualization.

>Hey Jure. can you tell me what clouds u selected so I can try>them? thxBetter yet, save your set as a favorite and email him the favorite file and he can simply drop it in and pick it out of his list of favorites.......easy!

:-)in fact I just used the Randomizer for the pics and it did the job for me.I have added the Randomizer to the FSAutostart (a must have!)list of auto-launched programs, so every time I launch FSAutostart it first launches AS2004, FE and then FS2004 with a new set of surprizing environments.Try it ! :-)David

Hey,I used the following:Solid cumulus - SupremacyStratus - Dense PackedWispy Edges - The Hard Edge FluffyAfter playing a bit with different settings I now trust the Randomizer to surprise me. It works. :)Jure

I just did the same but haven't used it yet since I just bought FE this morning. I'm only starting the FE Randomizer. Did you set a delay? Right now I have it at zero.Lawrie

One question about the discount for FS Water users...Is FS Water now integrated as part of this new package, or do we still use FS Water as a stand-alone product?I really like FS Water and am planning on buying FE today, so I was curious about this. Thanks!Scott :-)

Yes,my understanding is that since FS Water has been integrated in FE you should first uninstall your FS Water before installing FE. This is at least what I am planning to do tonight when installing FE.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2

Hi Scott,FE2004 has an update to FSWater in it, it has all NEW water textures that are even better then FSWater. Just to make it clear, FE2004 does NOT have FSWater integraded in it, it has all new water, an update to FSWater, plus everything elseso no, you will no longer need FSWater.

Sounds Good! Thanks for the info :-)Scott

I'll probably end up purchasing it because with the discount it's not that expensive. Some of the clouds and sky colours on the screenshots look really realistic, others just look "artistic" and some, neither. But, I guess there's plenty of choices to choose from and to find a set that works well (been using the same FSW set for ages now because everytime I change I find it looks less real).Still using fs9skytext.zip for sky colours, not sure I'll change that because I really like the sun effects provided with that one.The water looks really good on the screenshots, but the video on the Fligh1 site reveals that it suffers from the same problem as every other water set for FS9 - the whole water cycles. Very noticable in the last couple of seconds of that video - the whole ocean is oscillating and it looks ridiculous. But then I guess this is an inherent problem of the FS9 graphics engine and there's nothing that can be done about it.

okay, first thing, the sun mod you have and like, you dont have to use the one in FE2004, that is an option that can be used or not used. your right, there a lot of options and the randomizer is totally automatic and configureable, so if you see a set of clouds you dont like, uncheck them and the randomizer wont use them. As far as the water waves go, the way FS makes the water move is in the FS9 engine, but, Peter has included 5 different wave patterns to help with the illusion. I have a few sets unchecked in mine because I dont like the "normal" look of most waves but that leaves me with three I really like. I chose the sets that look like directional waves as opposed to the sets that are omnidirectional.

How many of you guys who already have FE2004 is using it with ActiveSky 2004.5?Read a post in the AS forum where someone said he had seen some very strange things when using it together with AS and he also said his FPS decreased after installing FE2004 compared to what FPS he got before installing it.It DOES look nice but since I'm using AS and always fly using real world weather I'm a bit worried I will find my self in trouble if installing FE2004 no matter how good it looks in the various screenshots etc.Any comments?
