Just a headsup; the RC2 that was released a couple of days ago has now been elevated to official SP1, so it's download time folks!

@Daveo: Are there any bigger (and noticable) differences between RC1 and and the actual SP1? 

Does anyone else get an error with this version?

How did you update, using the full installer or just the update,  used the update with no issues

I first ran the update, but then I got that error message. I tried to find what went wrong, but couldnt fix it, so I uninstalled the patched version and ran the full install, but still got that same error.

I just ran the patch update, from previous beta (not RC2).

 

That error doesn't happen here, neither in FSX nor in P3D.

 

ASN runs on a different PC than the flight sim does, don't know if that makes any difference.

that looks like a as-srv folder problem installed by NEXT inside P3D

 

make sure it is uninstalled/deleted(?) too before re-installing?

I too am getting this error as I am attempting to run ASN on a networked PC:

I ran the full installer w/ SP1 included in the image as an Admin on the networked PC.

I added ASN to the firewall

Before I get the Error msg dialog in the bottom status bar ASN reports that its  connected

 

 

On the actual FSX PC:

I ran the ASConnect_FSX_Install.exe copied over from the networked PC

I deleted the shader files as instructed during the network install.

I unchecked weather smoothing in full version of FSUIPC.
