April 28, 200521 yr Can anyone that owns the NG let us know how smooth the refresh rate of the gauges is from the VC? I remember reading that it was pretty bad but an update was in the works.... Thanks in advanceJohn
April 28, 200521 yr With the newest 700 they have implementet the 2Di.And as some have stated above here, the refresh on the PFD and ND are good with the 2Di.About the confusion mentioned above, i totally agree. It is a little confusing. But worth mentioning is that the 900 came first, then the 600 and now the 700.So the 700 is most up to date.Included in the 700 is also the 2Di, which the 900 and 600 as of now dont have.So if i where to pick, probably the 700.
April 28, 200521 yr Hi,As far as I understand, the only package which has the pushback truck and the 2Di panel, is the B737-700 NG. But as far as I know, after some very helpful mails from Ariane, I got the information that the B737-600 and the 900 will get the 2Di and the pushback aswell in an update soon. And I have to agree whith Svein,...there are sure many features in this package never seen in any other package. One thing that I was very sceptical about before I purchased, was the VC enviroment. But I have to say, that this package is the first package where I find it very enjoyable to fly with a VC. And I am sure that the 2Di panel concept will be used by many future addon developers. Wow,...what a great thing that is. It is practically a fixed 3D eyepoint placement, with integrated panning options. A little bit like in "Fly", but here you use the panning knob on the joystick. Or you can assign the commands to the keyboard.>>And to George>> Thanks, I tried to create a flightplan in FS, and woala,...now it works!! Pity though that we can not use FS Build or FS Nav to create the plans. But lets hope they will add that to. :-)Fly safe, Staffan AhlbergSweden/Stockholm/ESSAhttp://www.scandicair.com/images/dc9_banner.jpg"I will come and cut your lawn for a high quality DC8-63 system"My specs are:Dell Dimension 4600 P4/3.0 Ghz1024 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory (2x256,1x512)128 Mb ATI Radeon 9800 ProOmega 2590DirectX 9.0cW XP Home with SP1E171FPb Flat panel monitor 17"240Gb (2x120) 7200rpm HD Staffan

April 28, 200521 yr Is the upgraded VC only available with their NG variants? I'd like a great older 737 with a quality VC and accurate systems
April 28, 200521 yr The answer to your first question is 'yes' Alex...Concerning your second concern, Feelthere (Wilco) will be releaseing a 737-300/400 version soon... You can find more information about this on their website. These guys do great work, their the group who produced the 'PIC ERJ' package.... April 28, 200521 yr Hey Staffan,I have no clue yet myself of how to save FMC flightplanes with the Ariane model. I wonder can you do that with the real thing??? I'm just asking as maybe that's the reason that feature was left out.The reason I feel why this thread has produced such interest is because no one figured Ariane to produce such a high quality add-on. No one has stepped up to tell the truth about this add-on for either lack of knowledge on properly using it or hatred for the company itself. Cost is a major factor as well FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
April 28, 200521 yr Hi,I agree 100% with you Dillon.....I remember very well the things with Papa Tango and PT himself. And I must say that if people still have any "hangover" about this, which happened almost a decade ago, I feel sorry for them. Talk about double standards.:-) It is just ludacris to say that "I will not buy anything from those guys based on what happened before".How many of those do you think buy cloths made by kids in Asia for example. And there are many more examples I can list here. ;-)What I want to say here, is just that we all have to turn page and go on . I myself also had a "soar throat" when the PT thing was going on.,..but hey,......that lasted a couple of weeks.Just my 2c....Fly safe, Staffan AhlbergSweden/Stockholm/ESSAhttp://www.scandicair.com/images/dc9_banner.jpg"I will come and cut your lawn for a high quality DC8-63 system"My specs are:Dell Dimension 4600 P4/3.0 Ghz1024 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory (2x256,1x512)128 Mb ATI Radeon 9800 ProOmega 2590DirectX 9.0cW XP Home with SP1E171FPb Flat panel monitor 17"240Gb (2x120) 7200rpm HD Staffan
April 29, 200521 yr Well the NG looks like a great add-on, but having already spent the money purchasing the great PMDG add-ons, I can't see myself forking over almost 100 bucks for basically the same plane plus a few details. I hope the prices get lower, otherwise I'll be looking for wilco to come through with their older 737 model. Thanks for all the help
April 29, 200521 yr Alex there's far more than a few details offered in the Ariane model... Just the same I'm really confident that PMDG will update their product with the coming BBJ update that'll put it on par with their up coming 747. I'm sure with the advances their promising, the 737NG series won't be left behind... I know price is a major factor with the Ariane model no matter how good it is...I personally plan on buying more of the Ariane 737NG series because I like what I'm seeing. I just want some extra liveries and an ATA/Aloha wingtip -800 model... :-hah FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
April 29, 200521 yr Hello,I happen to own both the 900 VCE and the 600 VCE addons. I am a confessed "addon junkie" and bought them because I really wanted to try a VCE concept after the PIC320 support vanished.Yes, they are very expensiveYes, the author(s) can be a little difficult to relate toHowever, it is my experience that all-in-all this is a very emersive addon. I am only a sim pilot. I learned to "fly" the 737 on PMDG and Project Magenta 737 Overhead panel. I find the virtual cockpit great with my new Monarch Computer (AMD64 3500+ with two NVIDIA 6800 cards and a gig of ram). So far, my experience with Ariane has been about 85% UP and 15% Down. Their support has been OK since I realized they are about a day out of sync with my local time. Once I acquired patience, the support has been fine.I do not know anything about their past or their owner(s). I only deal with them the same way as I deal with all other vendors of sim addons - I give them respect and I expect that in return.I pay for the products, register them and do not pirate anything! So, while I realize that these are probably too expensive for many sim flyers, I also realize that I am having a great deal of satisfaction flying them in my sim. I use them on flights of no more than two (2) hours since I do not operate in compressed time and cannot seem to find the patience for longer flights. I have run them with Active Sky and Radar Contact without any problems. If there are problems with the autopilot or other subsystems I'm probably too inexperienced to see them! Almost all of my flights are from takeoff to landing and I really seem to be able to fly these with the VC concept. I also use their addons for pushback and views in the cockpit. These add a lot to the experience. I have a rather complete GOFLIGHT setup that does not interface with these products. I miss the use of the switches and don't like the use of the mouse so much but maybe in the future, a GOFLIGHT software upgrade will deal with these issues.Happy sim flying,Ron Sagel
April 29, 200521 yr Hello guys, yesterday i have bought this product with activation online but without success.I have send the e-mail at your address with all code generated by programm but I don't received any answers for activation after 24 hours:-mad How many time to do wait for this? Thanks for answersBest regardsCristiano
April 29, 200521 yr As said before. If you have a junk mail filter, check that it hasnt filtered it away.In my hotmail account that happen.I found their mails in the junk mail folder. And my personal experiences with them, they have always as i can remember answered my mails within 24 hours.Actually, talking about 24 hours, last i mailed them they were talking about starting a 24 hour support:)Dont tell me they dont take their customer relations serious.
April 30, 200521 yr Where's their email address? Tried finding it on their site. I have to reinstall and the site says my receipt was disabled. What a bunch of nonsense. I paid over $100 Canadian for this thing and I can't reinstall without it being a pain in the arse. I won't give these guys a clean bill of health until I can easily reinstall their plane (900 VCe plus livery set). They should be paying me for that price to go through the trouble of reinstalling by essentially having to come crawling to them to get this overpriced toy back in business.
