April 27, 200521 yr One more thing, Des Braban's PMDG sound set doesn't work with the Ariane model. You have to use his default 737NG sounds set and copy over the interior sounds from the PMDG sound set to get a quieter cockpit when full thrust is applied (your not exactly sitting on top of the engines you know :-roll)...Hope that makes since for anyone wanting realistic sounds for this add-on... :-) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
April 27, 200521 yr Can anyone tell me if the panel side views are 2D or are they from the VC. The reason I ask is that PMDG side views are not correct. I find if I look left, I am way too far back. Im looking out the last window.Greg
April 27, 200521 yr Dillion, I have a ATI 9800 with 128 megs onboard ram and I had the 737-900 series and had poor graphics,I am wondering if the graphics have improved? Jeff
April 27, 200521 yr Well, here is the latest. Been working with the Ariane 700 pretty much all day. BIG problem is I can't seem to get it to quit locking up FS. Mostly when I do anything with the FMC in flight. Just get a hard lcok that requires a reboot. I've removed ALL extra dll's including FSUIPC, Active Camera, etc but no joy. Also, when I do manage to fly it for a few minutes before it locks up, it simply doesn't follow the flight plan track as closely as the PMDG. Going to take a break for awhile from the Ariane and fly the PMDG and the LDS. Need to calm down before I continue with it or I'll get pi&*ed off for sure.:-roll
April 28, 200521 yr George there's got to be a problem somewhere. Just out of curiosity, have you defragged your HD lately??? FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
April 28, 200521 yr Yup, do it about three times a week. Use perfect disk. Don't know what the problem is Dillon. I even tryed a clean, completely fresh reinstall of FS with nothing added except the 9.1 update. Beats me. I do hope I can get it going. From the little bit I have flown it, it has great potential.
April 28, 200521 yr I don't know, mine looks decent. Try the update mentioned above and see if that make a difference... :-) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
April 28, 200521 yr Hi!Have u installed the Service Pack from Ariane. It deals with the FS9.1 issue, and CTD's.
April 28, 200521 yr Hello guys,I have a question for Ariane's purchaser:Is it possible, after format hd,re-activate the product without spend other money?I don't understand the re-activate process for the future installation.ThanksCristiano
April 28, 200521 yr Hello Svein,I purchased the 700 series (newest one) By what I can tell on the website, it already has the service pack incorporated in the package.
April 28, 200521 yr Christiano: Yes.Either by offline activation(havent tried, but should be able to), or when i bought it you could save the FMC.gauge file and key file you have in the folder. Then reuse them later. Not sure if you still can do it...Bigun:Ok. i suggest you send ariane a mail to try to solve the problem.
April 28, 200521 yr >:-lol>>That one got me as well on my first try... The Ariane FMC is>not like the PMDG version; you have to fill in all the blanks>on the 'ACT RTE' page. What I do is fill in all the blanks>(including takeoff runway), choose the 'CO Route' option to>load up an FS flight plane, and then everything shows up. I>haven't figured out how to manually punch in the route yet as>it's a little different from the PMDG version. >>Now check out the rest of the plane's features and I'm sure>the more you use it the more it's going to remind you of LDS.>Keep us posted... Hi Dillon,Since I have most of Arianes earlier (non NG) planes, I simply had to get the B737-700 NG yesterday. Almost Staffan
April 28, 200521 yr Hello Staffan,I'm not Dillon and definately not an expert on the Ariane but since I had this same problem maybe I can help.1. Make sure the flight plan is constructed with the built in flight planner in FS9. If you construct it with FSBuild, FSNav or other 3rd party planner and export as as standard FS flightplan, the Ariane WILL NOT recognize it.2. Make sure you fill in all the blocks as Dillon said, including Rwy. IF you do these two things it should load after you pull it up using the Co Route button on the FMC.Hope this helps,
April 28, 200521 yr Hello Staffan!Agree with you fully.I'm in the prosess of reinstalling my 600 ,due to the fact that it has been patched and will be patched further, and all things that i had any issues with has been fixed.Had a big mailexchange with ariane the last days, probably sent and received over 10 mails regarding some problem with lost receipts and installing.I can assure everyone, that the replys i have been getting were very helpful and polite. Also during the mailing they gave me some perspective upon patching and also patched issues. And without revealing anything, there are several goodies already implementet in their VCe series, and more to come:)You will probably not find them obvious, but do some fiddeling around their i.e.FMC,and you'll find some goodies not found in any other addons:)Of course without any comparison. They have given me some clues, but assures me that there are several more.By the testing i have done it seems they are not lying. There are...You just need to find them.
April 28, 200521 yr I am considering purchasing one of the Ariane 737's in the near future and after viewing their website im a little bit confused as to exactly which version of the 737 i would prefer to have...the 600,700 or 900?Could any of you owners enlighten me a bit to help make my choice an easier one?...i suppose my buggest concern would be to make sure i choose the one which has all the latest tech features/updates included. Thats what confused me really...i wasnt sure if the 900 had important features that may have been left out of the 700...or vice versa...other than weight and engines does anyone know what if any differences there are as far as cockpit modeling and basic features of the 600, 700 & 900 are? Thanks a bunch!Dave Kalinps - it would be great if some of you might post some recent VC screenies from the latest updates over in the screenshot forum.
