I guess the server has a static IP, DNS problems should be resolved when using the IP address instead of the domain name.

Hi Stonelance.  A version that can ignore DB connectivity errors would be welcome anyway, as I often travel and would love to run Flight on my laptop even without internet connectivity.

Flight just started fine for me in the non-GFWL toolkit.

 

Still won't record my progress on the pilot's profile though.

Yup, looks like the DNS is resolving the host name again...

 

I'm looking into the saving the profile progress issue this week.

Non-GFWL looking good again.  It's all there.  Back in business!

Hello. I had the Non-GFWL working for two days and had accumulated several aerocaches and missions. I was using the 1.0.26 version of the toolkit. Then last night and today, when I started Flight, it lost everything and started up as if I never played it before. The only thing that occurred was an MS update from patch Tuesday. Does anyone know how to get back where I was or why it won't load any aerocaches or my profile? Thanks for your help.

It looks like Flight it trying to report that some aerocaches have been visited even though your profile already has them marked as visited, but unfortunately it is not printing out the full id of the aerocache.  I'll have to look into that.  I'm not sure if it would cause you to lose all your other progress or not.

Since I could not do anything since the last profile bombed as above and Flight would not start in GWFL free status, I decided to begin a new profile and start over. I've done a few things to get started and it looks like it is going to work for now. Wish this was stable enough to continue on. Really liked hunting aerocaches. I guess all the servers are going to shut down and this will be the complete end of Flight. No one will be able to play anymore.

Well, the new profile bombed out as well and I am back to zero on everything. Don't understand why. It was working fine and then boom. Hope you can find out what's happening when you have time. Thanks for trying to help.

Can you send your Profile.xml file from the career folder to [email protected] as well as the xlive.log?
