Legacy product is the last version Ultimate Terrain X - that had a different lighting system than this one with other improvements just go to flight1 site to compare as for LC I have loaded up my US Fsgenesis LC - I guess you are suppose to sandwich it between UTX vegetation and urban entries - LC will be added to the UTX V2 product at a later date and I thinks it will be free

 

Just noticed that V2 description does state landclass but not full blow from what I have read in simforums

Hi Ron - this is what the manual states hope it helps - no you are good to go canada - alska and europe are the legacy products which you can use as Mitch has stated - I have not tried - I will wait for official P3D versions

 

Hmm after reading this - to me it looks like we dont really need another landclass loaded other than maybe a 3rd party landclass does vegetation better and that might be hard to notice but I will try method 1

Using Other Landclass Products

To use other landclass products in combination with Ultimate Terrain X, you would layer your library in one of the following three possible methods:

Method 1: Replacing Only The Ultimate Terrain X Vegetation Landclass

 UT Landclass – Custom

 UT Landclass – Urban

 UT Landclass – Vegetation

This is probably the most commonly used method. Ultimate Terrain X’s landclass improvements are focused on the urban areas and other custom textures. We feel that our landclass in this area is among the most accurate in the industry. However, if you have a product that also improves the vegetation landclass in FSX, you might consider using this strategy.

 

 

Method 2: Completely Replacing The Ultimate Terrain X Cities And Vegetation

 UT Landclass – Custom

 *** Other landclass product ***

 UT Landclass – Urban

 UT Landclass – Vegetation

With this method, the Ultimate Terrain X cities and vegetation will be replaced, but the custom landclass features (zero lot line areas, universities, industrial areas, etc) of Ultimate Terrain X will still be displayed. Normally, we do not recommend this method, unless you find another product that appeals more to your personal preferences.

 

 

Method 3: Completely Replacing Ultimate Terrain X Landclass

 *** Other landclass product ***

 UT Landclass – Custom

 UT Landclass – Urban

 UT Landclass – Vegetation

With this method, the UTX landclass will be completely covered by the other landclass product.

We all get old buddy what can you do - UTX 2 has nothing to do with the old - UTX V2  is only for USA and a stand alone product make sure your old USA product is not installed before you install the new one - as for the legacy stuff you can load it like Alaska - Europe - Canada and you can use the new V2  lighting system with those products but in your scenery library make sure you un-check those old lights in the scenery library so the new version is only providing all of your lights - hope this helps you Ron - take care

Thanks for the excellent info provided in this thread guys. What is everyone doing for Asia LC and Vector?

 

UTX doesn't play there and openVFR only does a small amount of coverage.

There is another thread going here about UTX2 and how it can improve other UTX areas.Hope someone can tie them together. It is almost midnight here in Ill and I had too much turkey a little wine,so I need to take a sleep break.Thanks for the help,Ron

Zoran not flying in Asia so I really cant comment on that - but scenery tech has LC for Asia as for much better stuff - there isint much - Orbx is working on it at a much later date and I dont think scenery solutions have ever done that part of the world

That would be me.  What I meant by that is since reinstalling all my older/legacy...older UTX products, I much prefer the UTX treatment over stand alone Vector 1.20

Hi, I have Vector 1.20, would it be better to purchase UTXUSA 2.0 and use it rather than Vector?
