I was searching and could not find a good add-on for Sydney YSSY. Does ORBX or anyone has this airport?

I'm really surprised ORBX doesn't have one, with the millions of airports (pay and free), they have developed for Australia and all over the world. Strange isn't it?

You are not wrong in saying that they haven't done a lot in Australia lately.

 

We do have Melbourne and Brisbane and a heap of great regionals.  Brisbane is in desperate need of a makeover however they are doing some amazing work in other parts of the world.

 

It's great that FT are doing Sydney........It's really the missing link for me.

For sure, I'm totally impressed by Fly Tampa. Not sure how they do such amazing scenery with very little frame impact- it's amazing!

Orbx said a while back that they wouldn't do any more large airports. The frame rate impact with Melbourne has always been pretty high. You can turn off a lot of the bells and whistles to lessen the impact.

Just as well because Melbourne and Brisbane were VAS and FPS killers unless you did a lot of undocumented user mods. I'm glad that FT is doing is so that we can be somewhat assured that it will perform well.

Even some of their smaller airports have my i7 based system crying uncle!

The best so far is an afcad made and modified by VATPAC...go to their website and get it via their forum. It adds correct taxiway markings and gate numbers, and makes the airport itself closer to the real one.
