Has anyone purchased Alabeo’s Saratoga II TC from PCAviator?

Hello all, I bought this product over 24 hours ago from PCAviator and was given the download code via email. The purchase has been marked as "complete" in my account history but I keep getting this error message:

 

You supplied valid download key, but system failed to find distribution package , please contact the shop administration

 

I have not received any replies to my emails requesting info. I know it must be a busy time for all vendors but aren't instant downloads supposed to be... uh... instant?

 

Anyone experience this?

I am not surprised.  I stopped buying anything from PC Aviator a long time ago.  They are long on promises and short on delivery.  They don't answer the phone, they don't answer emails etc.  Buy from reputable shops such as FSPilotShop, The FlightSim Store, SimMarket etc. and you will be much happier.

I've heard the guy that runs the site is having some tough life issues.  I've never had a problem, personally, and the issues I've heard from others, he hasn't let anyone down.  You might want to email him again.

I use PCAviator almost exclusively and I've never run into problems. As you said, this is probably a busy time for all vendors and time zone differences play into how quickly you will get a response. 

I have numerous addons purchased from PcAviator and never had any problem.

Just to bear in mind - PcAviator Australia and PcAviator USA are distinct companies. A lot of people including myself have had problems with PcAviator USA - But I can speak highly of PcAviatior Australia, who I've bought a lot of downloads from. Dean from PcAviator Australia did his best to help get in contact with PcAviator USA when they wouldn't reply to emails about a subscription for PcAviator magazine, that I never did receive (apart from a couple of copies), despite paying up front for a 2 year subscription.

PcAviator Australia is a very reputable company.

To be fair, they answered my phone call immediately and told me the problem was due to a corrupt package. It was rectified within minutes. I suppose it happens from time to time. The response once I made the call was well-appreciated.

You are correct about PCAviator Australia.  They are a fine company.

 

I had the same exact problem you did about PCAviator magazine.  I paid for two years, I got an announcement from them that it would cease operation but be picked up by another company which I never heard from.  Multiple emails from me to PCAviator USA concerning it went unanswered.  Over the past five months I have received 3 emails (obviously "canned" emails) from PCAviator USA stating I had not ordered from them in well over a year and asked for my response to the email as to why I had not ordered recently.  I responded to all of the emails voicing my concern about their support, responses etc.,  None of those emails have ever been responded to.

 

My experience with FSPilotShop, FlightSimStore, SimMarket and others have all been very positive with quick responses, problem solving etc.

Isn't PC Aviator the webshop that spams your mailbox like there is no tomorrow? I think I used them once and they kept spamming me ever since.

Have you followed the following guidance on their website? You need to go to the Download Store and look for guidance:

 

I Did Not Receive My License/Registration Number For My Download Order

 

The instant your download order is completed when payment is received our server generates a download link, as well as, if the product requires one, a license number or installation password. These are immediately made visible on your sales invoice under the line item listing in your invoice. You also receive download links and license numbers by email.

 

Please refer to your original invoice that was sent to you by our server or please check your e-mail account. Please also check any junk mail folders.

 

If you still cannot find these, please login to your account at http://www.pcaviator.com/store and look at your order history. Download links and license numbers are permanently recorded in your order history. If there is no license number on your invoice, then the product you purchased does not require a license number and you can install directly from the installer without entering a license number.

 

Hope this helps in getting this matter resolved.

I Did Not Receive My License/Registration Number For My Download Order

 

Hi Jim - I did indeed. The problem was I received the registration - it was the link to the download which was no good.

If the link was not any good, then just go to the download store, sign in and download the product.  That's one good thing about PC Aviator, SimMarket, the PilotShop, FSStore, etc., you can go there, log in and download the product anytime you want and also go there for updates.  Not saying you did this, but many people immediately send an e-mail when something goes wrong instead of checking out the FAQ's and Help areas on the website.  If it happened to you, you can be almost guaranteed it happened to hundreds of others.

 

Anyway, hope you get it figured out.
