Guys,

           I just noticed that VOX 6.49 was available for download on the VoxAtc website. I believe this may be a new version. I haven't had an opportunity to try it yet. This is what has been changed/enhanced in this version:

What do we have to do to set up VOXatc to use Active Sky files?

Just an update. I did a short flight between CYUL and CYYZ in the Aerosoft A321. Vox performed very well. I had one strange altitude assignment on descent of 327 but that was the only one. It put me on the correct runway of 24R with winds of 251@14g21. I'll give it a try later on tonight. This was on FSX using ASN for weather.

There is no set up that I can see. Im with OPUS although it shouldn't make a difference

You have to do nothing. VoxATC will read the correct, updated arrival weather as you near your destination. No need to read an external file and what not.

What is the best way to updaye to a new VoxATC version? Should I completely uninstall previos version and go through the process of assigning airplanes etc again or can one simply replace some files from the old version with the new files?

I just want to knw if there is a simple way of updating to v6.49 without having to configure everything again like Ivona voice speed/volume, traffic amount etc etc or do I need to set everything up again every time there is a new version?

Installing v6.46 on top of v6.20 created all kinds of problems for me.

 

Uninstalling v6.20 first didn't touch the configuration and settings. After installing v6.46 no re-configuring was required.

 

Hope I can update the same way to v6.49.

I can only speak for my own system but I always uninstall Voxatc via the installer. My settings that it saves are voices and shortcuts. I manually change "advance settings" and "settings" which takes 2 mins max. 

Holy molly I just started my first flight with the new version and as soon as I click Vox atc from the menu my screen goes black, unclick it and it goes back to normal

I use UT2 with the UT2 bridge program. Has anyone else notised that there is a lot of commercial traffic but almost no general aviation. I need to set VoxATC to at least 55% traffic to see any GA operations at all, and at that level I get an insane level of Commercial traffic.
