FSUIPC for FSX:SE Available!

Well-I've been trying to find the latest version of FSUIPC. I have located it, but the sites that have it are selling it, not making it available for free. I was  under the impression that these were freeware. This is just a hobby with me...can't afford any large outlays.

Howdy & welcome, first post and all.

FSUIPC has two modes - freeware & registered payware.

The software itself is found at http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

You can download and install the software, and use it for free, however it's full functionality is not available until you register.  In it's free mode, it's greatest functionality is that it can be used as a bridge to communicate with FSX by other popular software packages.  It also applies some fixes I think, and there might be a few tweaks available.  Don't quote me on that part though, it's been a few years since I've purchased it.

You are correct that you can find it for sale at SimMarket.  This gives you a registration code that you are able to enter within FSUIPC to unlock it's full functionality, the biggest part of which is giving full control over command and axis mapping. To some of us, with a ton of external hardware controllers and switch panels, it's absolutely invaluable in this role.

Having created a flight plan with Plan G, the latter being displayed on a secondary monitor, my aircraft icon isn't appearing on the map there. Can you confirm that I need FSUIPC installed into my FSX:SE to have it appear? Or is there an alternative solution.?

Thanks.
