December 25, 201411 yr Moderator Wobbie, you've made your views clear (ad absurdum to be honest). Enough already... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
December 25, 201411 yr N4gix, since there is no thread to address this, I wanted to say good job on the Milviz 310. One of my first airplanes was the Eaglesoft Twin Comanche. Ultimately, I didn't think that the flight model matched the real thing, so I ditched it, but I really liked the ability to customize the panel. It was a plane I wanted to like, but just couldn't. But then when the 310 came out, it was like the best of all worlds. Same feel, but with a flight model that really convinced me. I primarily like airliners like PMDG, but when I do GA, the 310R is my favorite. Merry Xmas.
December 25, 201411 yr Moderator Thanks, and a very Merry Christmas to you as well. Honestly, I prefer the C310R myself on those increasingly rare occasions when I actually can set aside some time to just 'fly' instead of working! Fr. December 25, 201411 yr Moderator Ron, simply read the threads in the FSX forum that're flagged with the "FSX:SE" tag. The improvements in the base code have been enumerated many times. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
December 26, 201411 yr I shouldn't have called Wobbie a jerk, and I'm sorry for that. Christmas is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, but often it isn't, it frankly makes me quite depressed, so I let my mood out a little more than I should have. I just think that Wobbie needs to recognize that some of us get tired of hearing about our little kiddy game FSX, while the big boys are actually doing serious simulation with P3D. I'm not completely in disagreement with Wobbie that FSX is getting old, and it had it's time, and maybe it is time for something better. I've said this before in countless threads. I'm not getting the Steam version myself in the near term, because I'm just not that excited about it. FSX doesn't excite me the way it used to, so SE isn't a must-have for me, but still FSX remains my primary flight simulator. I just sometimes wish that some of the P3D people would stop being holier than thou about it.
December 26, 201411 yr By now Wobbie should get the hint, starting arguments or upsetting people who use FSX when he doesn't is being a troll, at that point it is no longer debate (which is what he calls it), especially when a number of people are quite upset by his actions over various threads at this pointIt is now Boxing Day in New Zealand so we have moved on, I am getting plenty of PMDG NGX flights with ORBX Global and my trusty ole FSX:MS and enjoying it very much Even though I have installed FSX:SE I have only used it for some Multiplayer but have not installed any third party to it. As soon as PMDG and Active Sky Next are on board I will make the transition. Cheers B) Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
December 26, 201411 yr I use p3d. Installing fsx-se for the flight sims lab a320. Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
December 28, 201411 yr Happy New Year to all. I do apologise when I offended. I was, in future, be more mindful of my personal views & how it might impact those of others. To all, blue sky's & happy landings for the New Year. Kind Regards, Robin Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
December 30, 201411 yr Next machine will be steam fsx because lazy and install DVD took longer than steam download. Current machine all use both because I can switch between dx 10 and dx 9 that way.
