Hi all, I am still an avid Q400 flier - I cannot get enough of this little aircraft. So I was wondering if anyone heard any news about upcoming projects from this wonderful developer. I do not have facebook so perhaps I missed something.

Majestic are currently working on the "Pro" version of the Q400. If you weren't already aware it is going to be an additional cost to the current aircraft (although a discount will be available to 'Cadet' Version owners; this has been explicitly stated by MJC) and will feature full failure simulation and a fully functional HUD, as well as other more advanced features. It's looking as though this updated version shouldn't be too far around the corner, but I can't remember any exact press releases.

 

Also, today Majestic announced (on Facebook as luck would have it!) that they are teaming up with CockpitSimParts to produce a full set of panels for home cockpit builders, which I must say, look fantastic.

 

Now, if only they would consider a throttle quadrant and I think I may have to oblige! B)

It sure takes a while, but it seems to be progressing.  The Pro will be available for only the cost difference vs the Pilot edition, at least at JustFlight where I purchased it.

After the Q400 Pro and Training editions are completed Majestic have stated they will be doing the Q300.

Gosh I hate Facebook! Will the pro edition be released as a stand alone boxed or download product, or will it only be an upgrade to the pilot edition?

It is a stand alone product, although if you already own the pilot edition you only pay the price different between the pro and pilot.

I'm more of a jet airliner simmer but I can't wait to ge my hands on that circuit breaker panel in the pro edition!

Does anybody know if the pro version, or any future update for that matter, will comprise a single-cue flight director? :smile:

I'm hoping the version with the heads up display so I can fly inot PNW airports with little to no visibility in my Horizon/Alaska livery...

Have you taken a peek at the Majestic facebook page? In March, Majestic posted some pics of the Q300 v2 modelling work, currently being worked on by Samdim Designs. And I must say, the panel looks fantastic.

Hi, I must say I agree with Djang0 as far as Facebook is concerned. I have only registered on it for the sole purpose of obtaining information on Q400 'PRO', nothing else. I am a member of the Q400 forum but as it seems to play  second fiddle to Facebook its not a lot of use as far as information is concerned.

Simeon posted news about the RC patch that goes on top of v1.014 today, it was on Facebook, Avsim and Majestic's own forums within an hour.

 

It's the product previews you tend to miss out on, as they're frequently Facebook only.
