There's no other reference to "our own product", which still appears to be something different to FSX on Steam. Tim Gatland could have said something about it - after all he raised the matter!

Why the animosity...seems you didn't read the article very carefully, for this was mentioned a little later.

 

We have a wide range of people who have been working on the project; they are a mixture of our existing development team and dedicated staff with FSX experience. We have assembled the core team who will be designing and creating our new flight simulator.

No animosity. I simply thought that a new flight simuator would have had far more prominence given the audience here.

He said it is still in the design stage... and would include taking advantage of modern computer technologies.. all the right words, as far as I can see..  So far, so good  B)

Well, there in it for the long run and they want to update FSX with modern technology. Nothing worrying about that.
