Many of the PC-12 pilots who have flown the real bird say the ones that come with F1 package are pretty darn realistic...so why change them?Is there something inparticular that people feel needs changing?:/

I've installed Alex Metzger's flight dynamics as an alternative to Flight1's and have yet to find anything I like better about them...Not being a real PC12 pilot, I would certainly not recognize "the real thing" if it hit me in the face, but I've flown the Flight1 original quite a lot now and quite like the way it behaves...I'll wait for others more qualified than me to fill us in on the "fine points"..

I'm a bit confused about the statement saying: "I have been working on the flight dynamics for that plane since quite along time and received approval from Flight1 to publish my own flight dynamics for her"I gave no official approval for that. However, anyone can change anything they like once it is theirs, and we have no problem with it, but it's not an official or endorsed change. We are well satisfied with Jerry's air file and it has been approved by several real PC12 flyers.Regards,Jim Rhoads

Alex works with DreamFleet and Flight 1, among others. He was also repsonsible for one of the best ever flight models for GA with the Aerosoft DA-20 Katana. He is known for continuing to work on things long after other developers have gone on to other projects! If he thinks the alteernatives are viable, then I they must be worth a try!Allcott

Let me reiterate...I have no problem with Alex sharing his files... as long as it is understood it is not a F1 sanctioned change.I find it quite satisfying to see the many different things people are doing with the PC12 to customize it and carry it further.Regards,Jim Rhoads
