March 1, 201511 yr Just switched to P3D, I had this working with FSX in network configuration. For some reason I just cant figure this out to get P3D to work. ASN is on my client computer and P3D on my server. When I load P3D I see simconnect dialog box in the back ground working, WideFs connects just cant get ASN, says waiting for simulator and all the top options are grayed out where I cant press them. I followed directions on ASN manual. I have P3D saved right in my C drive, C:\Prepare 3D V2--------would that make a difference? On my server computer when I look at the simconnects under control panel/programs I see 3 Microsoft SimConnects and 1 ESP SimConnect, on my client machine I dont see the ESP SimConnect, does that matter? I have everything figured with port #5000, I have cleared this port in windows firewall as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did open a ticket with HiFi still waiting for them to respond just would really like to use ASN. I tried with regular ASN and now been trying with the latest Beta one 1.0.5532.28306 Anthony Neumann

I got it from previous FSX install....I belive they are in disk 1 and in my case i remember from Acceleration pack disk ...if u have it... http://www.microsoft.com/Products/Games/FSInsider/downloads/Pages/FSXSDK-SP2Update.aspx see here regards Pedro Rodriguez
March 1, 201511 yr Author That's weird for me. My esp sim connect on my server computer is dated the day I jnstalled p3d. I assumed that was installed when I put in p3d due to the dates it shows. Could not having the esp sim connect on the client computer make a difference in not letting asn connect? Fsx connects fine with this current setup. Anthony Neumann

ASConnect_P3D_Install u must have this installed in you P3D main folder as "as_srv"... Pedro Rodriguez
March 1, 201511 yr If I've misread the question...apologies. I use ASN on a networked machine. You seem to have gotten most of the steps: setup simconnect.xml, create simconnect.cfg with identical info in client docs folder. Unless I am misreading, you may be missing a simconnect install on one or both machines. If you go to the P3D root folder, you'll find a redist folder. When you drill down, you'll see somconnect.msi files: I think RTM, SP1 and SP2. Run the 3 msi files on your main machine. If already installed, won't hurt. Copy msi files to client machine. Run all 3. See if that does the trick. Regards, Graham Derreck CYMM
March 2, 201511 yr Author I tried installing all the simconnects on from the redist folder, I still cant find the Microsoft ESP SimConnect. This is the only simconnect not on my client machine that is possible why its not conencting. I also been getting this error when loading ASN on the client computer......Error Installing ASConnect Module...........ASN was not able to install/modify the ASConnect into your simulator. What does this mean? Could this be the cuase rather than the simconnect? Anthony Neumann
March 2, 201511 yr Sounds like you haven't configured your network to allow full access to the folders required. This is the guide I followed. http://support.hifitechinc.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/6/3/networked-configuration-with-simconnect From EGFF to YSSY
March 2, 201511 yr Author I believe I have everything set up properly. Problem is I keep getting the "errior installing ASConnect Module" , Why am I getting this, its driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anthony Neumann
March 2, 201511 yr You need to install the ASconnect module on your simulator computer, it should be under Hifi/ASN or wherever you installed ASN. Steve Whiterod
March 2, 201511 yr Author Yes I have installed as connect module on the server computer. Where should I check to see if that is installed correctly? Does matter that prepare 3d is installed in my root c directory. I will try switching the port to 500 but don't think that will change anything. 5000 made it work fine with fsx so I just kept that.
