March 6, 201511 yr Join an airline as a pilot > get given a study guide > get ground schooled > get practical training > get proficiency checked every so often. otherwise just youtube it... youtube's good. Hopefully one day we'll have more of the subtleties -- like ground returns and storm shadows -- which, as those two links demonstrate, in the real world are key to 'reading' the radar picture and working out which returns are just rain and which are really nasty.
