June 21, 201510 yr for anyone that might be interested,if you sign up for the insider program and install build 10130 before the next build is released and keep the build installed up until rtm, you will get windows 10 free,no windows 7 or 8 needed, straight across the board free.i have my laptop with windows 10 on it and windows 7 on my desktop.i am considering installing windows 10 back on my desktop just so i can get the free upgrade.i had been running windows 10 on my desktop since the first beta, but when i upgraded my pc i went back to 7 because corsair link doesn't work on windows 10 yet.i am just concerned about all my flight sim activations. especially pmdg, i cant afford to buy my 777 again.i hope these developers understand the ones out here using the insider preview and alot of installs on the same computer.
June 23, 201510 yr Author I had a lot of activations for various add ons, airplanes, scenery, etc, from various suppliers like Realair, ORBX, Just Flight... not one problem experienced.
June 23, 201510 yr After the upgrade, can the Windows 7 files be deleted? I have Windows on a SSD and I think I would prefer to do a fresh install of Windows 10 instead of an upgrade installation. Is that even possible? I just worry that an OS upgrade will leave a huge mess of unneeded files behind.
June 23, 201510 yr it's been confirmed that people that upgrade can get a full fresh install of windows 10 if you are upgrading from windows 7,8 or 8.1 i file bug reports every night on the windows 10 insider preview,as of the current build 10147, everything for p3d all works.corsair link is the only thing that doesn't work for me.

Many of us that have doing this for a decade or two can remember the days of three activations and you buy it again. FSD I am looking at you
June 23, 201510 yr if you sign up to be a windows insider, you get windows 10 free, the catch is, you have to continue testing windows 10 after release on july 29th.i myself will be using my windows 7 key on my flight sim computer even though i have windows preview on it right now. i will stay with the rtm release on my desktop and stay an insider on 2 laptops for testing.i like windows 10 enough that i switched from google chrome to microsoft edge.and cortana, you just say in your head set start active sky next or any other program and cortana will open it for you. microsoft is getting it right this time around.fsx didn't work well for me on windows 10, but i am sure its because i am using sli.p3d supports sli and train simulator 2015 as well.i am a plane and train buff, my 2 favorite hobbies :-)

December 8, 201510 yr Just a Heads up Friend of mine tried Win 10 with P3D all went well but went back to win 7 because his PFC flight yoke (USB) kept disconnecting , Couldn't find a driver for the yoke i think, But apart from that He said it was working well with P3D Cheers Riche Just upgraded to Windows 10 and am having the same issue with my PFC yoke.
