Can't speak about P3D but in FSX, I strongly suspect that the hand placed scenery is a big piece of it.  I suspect that, once loaded, it never gets freed.

I shall post later today, I have a scenario which OOM's in less than 2min using default planes.

We continue to look into recent reports of memory issues.

To help speed up our investigation and make sure we catalog repeatable cases, if you experiencing OOM errors, please post the following information:

  • All Third Party Add-ons (Scenery, Vehicles, Programs)
    Starting Airport
    Starting Vehicle
    Time Until OOM
    Did you use the Scenario Startup screen?
    Describe what you were doing when the OOM occurred
