May 27, 201511 yr Hi guys I have this annoying little problem that happens on all aircraft. At load up after choosing the plane on the FSX, the plane moves forward immediately. I have to apply brakes as the plane appears on the screen, otherwise it will crash against the gate. I did re-calibrate the controller stick and always make sure that the F1 and the controller are on zero but after loading all aircraft go forward. Apart from that everything is good. Any help out there? Thanks in advance. john
May 27, 201511 yr Maybe in your default flight the throttle setting is not at idle? If so you could try starting your default flight on a runway and immediately press F1 and make sure the engine goes to idle, then move the plane to your preferred default start location and save as the default flight. May 27, 201511 yr Can it be you've got double assignments? 2 controllers assigned to the same axis, from which one isnt at idle position? Also, some aircraft have so much power that they start moving as soon as you release the brakes. I always make sure to have the parking brake on when the aircraft isnt supposed to move. Cheers! May 27, 201511 yr The only aircraft I have experienced such a moving forward with is the Aerosoft Twin Otter. Gary
May 27, 201511 yr Easy solution for this is to make your default start up plane cold and dark so doesn't matter what plane you load up the engines will be off I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
May 27, 201511 yr I have this issue as well, I notice it's because on my throttle at idle it's not completely at idle in the aircraft. If I push it down I see idle. Same with max as well, it's not completely max but I can push it against the plastic to get a bit more. I've just got in to a habit of clicking Ctrl + . the moment the plane loads up Chris Smith
May 27, 201511 yr Administrators If you set up your default flight as cold and dark, be sure of a couple of things. 1. Leave your Avionics switch on. Most default airliners, as well as 3rd party do not have this switch. 2. SET your parking brake. May 27, 201511 yr If you open up your default flight (.flt) file in Notepad you can set the parking brake to "100" as well as the left and right brake. If you are using the default FSX flight to start with then yes, the aircraft does plunge forward if you start a new flight because the default flight is the glider up in the air over Friday Harbor with the throttle turned up. I like to still use this as my default flight because it eliminates any issues with starting up other aircraft that don't have the same fuel systems...etc. I know that when I changed the default flight to use a Learjet on the ground, I would sometimes run into issues if I loaded a third party aircraft after that. Not so with the default flight. Hope that made sense...
May 28, 201511 yr Author Of course it makes sense. I use 99% pmdg or aerosoft planes, but even default planes move forward. I'm about to modify some stuff and see if it works. Thanks a million. john
