June 1, 201511 yr We are currently tracking an individual who was operating a website, todosim.net, distributing pirated software. The software being distributed illegally was mostly flightsim related. The individual may or may not have purchased some of the software being distributed illegally himself, and was using (e-mail address removed) as his primary email address. If any Commercial Member here has had any items purchased where (e-mail address removed) was given as the transaction email account, please contact me urgently on: [email protected] The site has since been taken down and we are in contact with Interpol and other law enforcement organisations to catch this individual and those that helped run the website. Thanks in advance for your support. Scott Honiss Edited June 1, 201511 yr by ScottH Removed e-mail adddress
June 1, 201511 yr Well done, Scott. About time we flushed rats like these out. All kudos to your organisation. Rick Almeida
June 1, 201511 yr I'd be very cautious of sending any kind of information without further inquiring about Scott and the organisation he represents. His account is only a week old and only has one post. Furthermore, a visit to europe.com (the domain of the email account he provides) doesn't provide any information at all and seems to be a placeholder website. I don't know todosim.net and if it really provided pirate software as Scott says, but in this day and age the Internet is a wild place and we should be wary of providing information to any individual or non-official organisation. Just my .02 cheers -E Enrique Vaamonde
June 1, 201511 yr The starter of the topic does not exist on Google, so could be a pirate himself trolling.. James (jaydor) "Let me X-Plane where I fly in 2020"

Just my .02 cheers -E I'll support your statement. The email redirects to a GMX.net account, which seems to be a German free email service. I'd be careful what kind of information is provided to, and asked by, the OP. Furthermore, the OP refers to "we" as some kind of organization, but doesn't say anything else. His name doesn't bring back anything relatable in a Google search. As a community, we have to be wary of people that might use our anger towards pirates to, well, conduct piracy themselves. Not drawing conclusions on the OP, just saying we should wait a bit more before giving out information to just anyone.
June 1, 201511 yr Be cautious topic starter is using a free europe.com mail account does not sound legit at all. Kimo
June 1, 201511 yr I expect he requires the usual information.. Bank details, date of birth, Great-great-grandmother's name etc., I notice he is rolled as a member only and not an organisation.. As it say's in the shop "BUYER BEWARE" James (jaydor) "Let me X-Plane where I fly in 2020"
June 1, 201511 yr OP has been banned. This is not how you report a pirate here at AVSIM. He signed up with a Twitter account. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
