August 26, 201510 yr You dont need Their drivers - work fine with spad Richard, What does Spad do for yokes and rudder pedals? That's where I have trouble in Windows 10. Only with Saitek. Windows 10 installs Saitek's old drivers, and if uninstalled - reinstalls them. Registry patches to Advanced Power Management do not fix the mouse freeze up problem caused by unplugging the devices. Spad for me just runs in background - I do not make changes with it - dont have too - as for yoke and rudder pedals - (multi-panel and radio panels show up in spad- again I dont touch anything) it should just work out of the box Dont un-plug devices while pc is running Look at your windows sleep settings - turn them all of and in power settings go to advanced and then go to usb settings DISABLE selective suspend setting - might help Also noticed on my asus maximus formula that my usb plugs need to be in sots that makes it happy so you have to play with them for instance for me anyway mouse receiver and keyboard are in 2.0 and saitek stuff is in 3.0 only way I could get them to work which is weird as I would have thought the opposite Rich Sennett

August 28, 201510 yr This may, or may not help anyone else. I did a clean install of Windows 10. Of course I had my Saitek controllers plugged in during the installation and 10 installed drivers. I have 3 x throttle quadrants, rudder pedals and a trim wheel. After booting into windows, I tested the controllers. All seemed to be functioning except the trim wheel. This is an ongoing issue, where I had to spin the wheel a couple of times. The trim wheel would disconnect and then reconnected. After that, the trim wheel would function normally until I rebooted Windows. That was Ok in Win 7, but in 10, the mouse froze after the trim wheel dropped out. This is getting long winded, but I just wanted to lay out my experiences so those reading, could compare. Here's what I did: -changed how I receive updates from automatic to notify for downlad and install -uninstalled Saitek drivers on device manager -changed Windows update process. Please look at post 147 in this thread to see how it's done: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8013-windows-update-automatic-updates-enable-disable-windows-10-a-15.html -disabled Windows Update in services -deleted all the files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder -rebooted windows -enabled Windows Update service -ran UsoClient.exe Start Scan to look for updates -ran wushowhide.diagcab (Update Troubleshooter) to hide the Saitek drivers Note: after uninstalling the drivers, none of the Saitek controllers were functional, except the trim wheel. Also, in the abscence of the driver, when the trim wheel dropped out and reconnected, the mouse didn't freeze. -turned off the machine and disconnected all Saitek controllers -rebooted into windows and confirmed controllers were gone -turned off machine and reconnected Saitek controllers -downloaded Saitek Windows 8.1 drivers for throttle and rudder from Saitek site -installed drivers Perhaps one or more steps were unnecessary. I don't know. I just wanted to be thorough. All controllers now test out correctly in joy.cpl. The trim wheel dropout doesn't freeze the mouse. I hope you'll forgive the long post. If there is something that may help others trying to get Saitek controllers functioning; perhaps it's worth the headache you got slogging through this. Regards, Graham Derreck CYMM
