What FS9 display settings are you using when taking the screenshots, also how much AA and AF are you using on the your vidcard. The only way i can get so clear no blurries shots is when i put mipmapping on at least 6 in FS9 display settings, then it looks great but also creates other probs such as shimmering and you need a very powerfull pc to pull it off. My FS cfg is adjusted following advice from several skilled people here on the forums, but for me sofar the only thing that really kills the blurries is a high setting on mipmapping.OHN

Too Funny..... :-lol :-lolAttacked their product. Well, you are entitled to your opinion. From my reading, I also complimented their product several times. Especially the Videos which are done extremely well.I offered my opinion and criticism which I am allowed to do whether you like it or not. Do I think 5 seasons at those prices are high. Yes I do, and others here have expressed the same view.Do I think they had the potential to mislead consumers about what is actually contained in the product. Yes I did, and I offered solutions prior to their release to help them avoid that issue. And they are doing so at this moment. As for nonsense. You need to look inward. While my comments are referenced to the product and the marketing of such by their company, yours are strictly about attacking me personally.I really don't care if you read my posts or not. Choose to pass them by if you like. Some here do exactly that.As for leaving, I have no intention of doing so.And you see, I will not sit idly by when attacked, and I will defend myself most every time. So, in closing, I really don't care what you think. You're simply baiting here. You started this little rant of yours in post number 42, and I simply defended myself. Don't like that, too bad.Anyway, Welcome to Avsim. :-lol :-lol :-lolHave a Day! :-)Sonar5Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

Bruce, I've read a couple of post from you and understand you're concern of the price...Let me ask you a question...Have you ever created a single texture.bmp? If you have there is a great deal of work and time that goes into just one!One of the reasons I decided to set the price at $12.00 per season is because it allows the end user to purchase whatever season they want at any time they want. If you really like the series, you'll be rewarded with your patronage, by receiving every 5th volume free, which of course you can choose any volume you wish. That effectively brings the price down to $9.60 per volume. I don't think you'll find any other product of this quality being sold for less...Let me ask you one more question... if the effective price of only $9.60 is still to high for you're wallet...what price point would you suggest?Thank you for your concerns and I will certainly consider any reasonable price point that you suggest.Stephen [email protected]

I will be buying it too, thankfully I didn't pay the outrageous prices yet for FSScene, only to hear they recommend turning autogen off, no way!

Don't like>that, too bad.>>Anyway, Welcome to Avsim. :-lol :-lol :-lol>Yes, you don't care what any of us think, yet you not only call us out by our logon names on the forum, you make sure to send a personal message to each of us who show your true nature, and how you are proud of being a 99% payware free individual, while I show that to be completely selfish and the mindset of a freeloader who expects everybody to work for months, years, to create something so you can have it for free. And when some little problem happens with any payware, you are the first to shove it down their throats with your insults and comments to make sure some people are turned off by the product, or to vent your anger at those who can make money off this hobby, I still haven't figured out exactly why your anger is directed at payware yet.

I'm always a bit surprised by the requests for exact information concerning what addon's are in a screenshot... Let me do a little explaining.BEV is no more and no less the painted pictures that lay on top of a mesh, no matter what resolution that mesh is. Thus, if you're using the default lc textures, or BEV's lc textures, or whoever's lc textures, the textures are what represents the world you fly over. Take photo-realistic textures for instance...basically (without going into a lot of detail) either satelite or actual photo's are cut up into 256x256 pixel squares and then laid onto the mesh and WAAA LAAA, you have a very close representation of what the real world looks like. Unfortunately photo-real is very expensive and very system cpuvideo cpu extensive and hard drive hungry. Then comes along a developer like myself or Ruud who believe there is an alternative to photo and we develop texture.bmps that are a marked improvement over the defaults, but work exactly like the default textures, meaning no problems with system cpuvideo cpu and no more additonal hard drive realestate required.So...one way to look at is; the mesh and the textures that lay on top of it are the cake...and everything else is the iceing on that cake. Even if you only use the default mesh and different textures you're going to see a difference (whether you like that difference or not is purely subjective). But, many of us want it "AS REAL AS IT GETS" (which is also purely subjective)...so, we add the iceing: 74, 38, 10 meter mesh, road systems that are based upon real world data, shorelines, rivers, lakes, based upon real world data, clouds, weather systems that produce life like weather patterns, and on and on and on, continuousely pushing the envelope to make it "AS REAL AS...we can make it."So, when you see a screenshot, look at the cake...and you see BEV! ...with lots of wonderful iceing! Chester...Please don't try our patience here. I believe you fired the first salvo during your short stint here at Avsim--joining the forums to specifically target a user sends out a pretty bad vibe on my radar. Yes--users have strong opinions and sometimes we disagree with them. If you want to tear something apart, go after the opinion--don't attack the person. That goes for all parties involved.I've tried to be frugal with the "lock" feature--but I sense one coming up soon unless all parties simmer down, cool off, and have a cold one...-John

Big Al,The reason I put names in the subject area is to allow me to find the responses in the future. This assists me especially in long threads like this, where it becomes difficult to track the responses some time. That way, I respond to those who FIRST Target me individually, instead of targeting my opinions of products. As for caring, I do care what people think, and if I didn't care, I wouldn't offer solutions or recommendations like I did here.Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

I'm not sure which screenshots you're referring to...either Tony's or some of mine on the forum...So I'll just give you my settings since I don't have that long distant blurrie issue either. The only time that I get the blurries is when I've got residential streets on, and I believe it has everything to do with what video card you're using and what the setting of that card are. Yes, I have what was 6 months ago considered a highend machine... my pictures, posted on the forum, are take at a resolution of 1600 x 1024 ( I have a 24" monitor) and my video card is the wonderful 6800GT with all settings maxed. I have 2gb of 500mhz ram, and a Athlon 64 3200+ (I don't overclock anything)...so, I believe you're dead on when you state that it takes a pretty hefty machine. One thing that I don't turn on in the FS9 configuration is the autogen shadows...it has a major hit on cpu and video. Yes I realize that many people like the shadow effects, but if you'll just try turning them off (assuming that you have them on) you'll gain another 4-5 FPS and it will be a lot less effort for your machine. As far as FS9.cfg settings, if you've been following the suggestions within the forums, then you're ok there, because that's where I got my info. So back off the shadows, and see if that doesn't help and if not...it just may be time to think about upgrading. Yesterday's tech (meaning 6 months ago) is fairly reasonably priced, especially if you're able to do the work yourself.StephenBirdsEyeViewDeveloperAdminadmin@flightsim-bev.com

Hi, I am very interested in this product after reading and viewing what it has to offer. I do have two questions so far:1.) I have many megascenery titles and was wondering if BEV works in conjunction with this or if there might be a problem.2.) Would it be difficult to uninstall this program (if I happen to not care for it)? Finally, I would like to thank you for bringing yet another choice to the market for those of us who are trying to find that comfort zone of realism. Also, those using this thread to throw insults at one another could you please start a fresh one with the topic "Me Versus Him/Her" so I do not have to sort through them here. Thanks.

Yes, that's my other objection, apart from the too intense colouring, to FSScene..........too highly priced but if you like them I guess you'll pay the price.

>>1.) I have many megascenery titles and was wondering if BEV>works in conjunction with this or if there might be a>problem.>>2.) Would it be difficult to uninstall this program (if I>happen to not care for it)? >Hi Cameron,1. Keep in mind the upcoming release is simply a texture package that replaces default textures. It won't overwrite Megascenery, which I have, or any other 3rd-party package that is area specific. Just like you see whatever textures you currently have outside of Megascenery areas, Flight Scenery Rhode Island or whatever, you will see the BEV textures. I have a large number of freeware and payware add-on, and everything works fine.2. It is fully intended to allow you to go back to how things were before you installed it, if you wish. =http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]BEVBetaSig.jpg

Hi OHN,I think you will find about as many different combination of settings as you will find testers making screenshots. :) I have a Nvidi 6600GT, which I am running at 2 for AA (Falcon 4.0:Allied Force doesn't like anything more) and 4 for AF. I use a resolution of 1280X1024. I currently have my frame rate capped at 28, and typically bump it to unlimited when flying over Megascenery. I have an AMD64 3200, with 1 gig Ram. I tend to set visibility to 50 as that can help. I have ground shadows turned off as that can make a big difference, and the new textures give a nice illusion of shadows anyway. Every slider is full right.Like anyone, I can get blurries as well. Last night I was checking out the area around JFK. I have Aerosoft's Manhatten, Ulitimate Terrain (residential roads turned off), and Simflyers airports. I was also running Ultimate Traffic Near the airports, I had some blurries. I was flying the PMDG 747. But I get them under the same conditions with default textures when I ask too much of my machine.Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]BEVBetaSig.jpg

You have to provide pictures of what your product looks like without the other add ons for one simple reason: Transparency and honesty. The other products are not yours and not everyone will have them. This makes decision making around the value of your product very difficult.
