FSUIPC Forgets Key Assignments in P3D

Featured Replies

In Prepar3d v2.5 I have Radar Contact bound to a keystoke, but after a while FSUIPC forgets and the keystroke no longer works. When I alt to the menu and reassign the key it starts to work again. Any known fix? Has anyone ever had the same issue? It is really annoying.

Do you assign the key in P3D-settings or in FSUIPC?

I was hoping a wider user base had seen the issue. Truthfully, I find the support a little daunting. Pete tends to offer very complex support and I was hoping that there may just be  simple solution. If none can be found here I will try there.

Try the RC forum here. Have you try to reinstall?

Yes, I have reinstalled FSUIPC. I am sure a complete reinstall of P3D and everything would solve the problem too.

Oh! And make share all folders are shared. Windows is so picky.

FSUIPC saves the general assignments in the fsuipc.ini file. After you set it, exit and check the ini file. If it's there, fly etc until it fails. Exit and look at the ini file - if it's there, your problem is either RC or P3D - I'd think RC or something is also using that key mapping.

I am now seeing another issue I have not seen before. P3D is no longer allowing me to Alt-Enter out of the full screen. I wonder if this is related. I have to press alt and then choose alt-enter from the menu. Strange. I may just use the work around until the next version comes out.

I have an issue with blurries that have suddenly popped up, and I have tried everything except a reinstall of P3D. I am like you, hoping that it won't be long before the new version is available. Wish they would give us some approximate time frame for that to happen.

Plus it will probably be a while before all of our "must have" addons are updated to work with the new version. Which means  being stuck with these issues for awhile.

Now things are getting even weirder. On a PANC-VHHH flight half way through I went  to adjust the time that FSUIPC autosaves and the FSUIPC tab is missing from the menu. Maybe I should delete my configuration file and build a new one. The autosave has been cussing very long pauses upon every save. It did not do this before and all this has surfaced in the last couple of weeks. Not to mention that GSX has stopped working as well. î
