Just wanted to add my thanks for the P3D v3 update to the GNS and G1000 units, I had really missed them.

If I buy now do I need to install the update or the product comes Prepar 3D V3 ready?

Im interested in the Garmin 430 and 530

The current download is v3 ready... however, we've found an issue with regards to FSX:SE and will be releasing another update shortly to address that.

Is there a manual as to how to install the gauge (2D) into a P3Dv3 aircraft?

I just copied whole folder of the FSX Mindstar C172 to P3Dv3.1.

The GNS loaded up fine but buttons (e.g. Ent button to OK after running self test) aren't working.

 

I guess I'm doing something wrong?

Are you seeing the mouse cursor change shape when you mouse over the buttons?

Sorry Ed for bothering. A restart this morning was enough to make it work.

 

That leaves my original question: is there somewhere a manual/tool for inserting the gauge in other AC in P3D?

No there is not.

Thanks for the update Ed now off to buy another subscription to Navdata now that I can use the gauges.

Ok I was a bit too quick to call it solved. I just tried a flight in P3Dv3 and now the buttons aren't responding again. The  mouse cursor does change shape when I mouse over the buttons, but they don't react to my mouse clicks.

If one session mouse input works, the next it doesn't... the next it does... etc... that's a bit outside my field of 'have-a-clue'. I've never heard of such behavior before.

Ok Ed, so just leave at that?

No... I'll keep digging around and see if I can come up with something.
