Regarding the FMS I use the data located in Resources/GNS430/navdata or, if updated, Custom Data/GNS430/navdata (Aerosoft, because Navigraph never bothered to answer our e-mails so I can't guarantee about their data).

Nice! Is this plane will work in X Plane 11? I would to know how complex is MD-82/83 Project compared to Rotate MD 80?

Totally unknown at the moment as we haven't any hint about XP11, we do hope that Laminar will give us an early access to the new version but until then we can't really answer... based on Ben's words there shouldn't be any compatibility issues, but it's impossible to confirm that right now.

Regarding the complexity we're talking about a totally different product, just think at the dual independent MCDU or the independent pilot and copilot instrumentation on top of everything else.

Limited to two or three holdings, i dare saying, is a compromise most of us can certainly live with. :wink:

Today I did some specific tests regarding a feature I never told you about: I planned a function in order to automatically update the plane when the plugin find a newer version, in this way you shouldn't worry about missing and/or manual updates and theoretically you could update every single component of the plane (the code allow this), no matter if the update is about a script, a texture, a sound, an object or anything else... the only possible issue is about the generated data traffic when transferring big files such textures or objects, that's something I need to analyze carefully.

In short when an update is available you'll see this sequence: 

 

 

You'll decide to accept the update or not, it's up to you.

Let's say that you have accepted the update, so let's stop the main script engine: 

 

 

starting to get the updated files and apply them: 

 

 

Finally, you'll be prompted to reload the plane: 

 

 

If something goes wrong during the update process another window will tell you that, the only issues I found during this process are about internet connection and/or server availability, nothing else, in this case you can reload the plane and then choose to try again or decline the update in order to try later. 

Very smooth feature Alfamike! It is similar to the one IXEG has in the 73, but as far as I know, it's not that automated (yet). Nifty feature! Can't wait for this plane:) Had a short, buggy, trip in the "other" MD-80 the other day, but coming from the Lago FlyTheMaddog in FSX, I always leave it wondering: is this all there is?

As far as I know their script engine can get updates only by entering a specific code, notified on a case-by-case basis, and if I recall correctly it can't actually get updates other than scripts (take it with a grain of salt)... since the beginning I tried to create an update system without drawing any comparison so I really don't know what other developers have specifically created in order to manage updates, I only followed my logic (and my abilities, hoping that they are good enough).

Unfortunately we can not confirm the release of the product later this year as planned. As you all know in software development there are many unknowns and unexpected difficult to predict in advance.

 

We are in beta test for several months during which we solved all the bugs that we detected, we were almost sure to end this phase by the end of this month,Unfortunately, the tests must continue for at least 3-4 weeks.

 

Our company policy is to release products as exhaustive as possible and with the least possible number of bugs, 

one must understand that we are developing and we will develop sim study level aircraft which require a immense development work and high test times.

 

As regards compatibility with X-Plane 11 will be surely provided, but have to wait that the 11 is no longer a version beta. 

Later we will work for a official version Xp11 of the plane  that includederà the new functionality provided by the Laminar.

 

Sorry, but we can ensure that the plane's release is very close.
