It is allowed to have the PMDG planes installed in v2.5 and v3 at the same time on the same PC. And it works. Ask PMDG how to do it. Now this senseless thread can end here, no?

Even Robert Randazzo himself has said that you simply need to manually copy the files if you want to use it in both sims. See here (third paragraph under 1)):
