December 4, 201510 yr Best purchase I've ever made, unlike the 777 I see Pete you still haven't admitted defeat and reinstalled your Sim
December 4, 201510 yr I am using TRC/Simkits rudder pedals. They are heavy-duty and look like real Cessna pedals. About $900.00 I have 2 coupled together for my Cessna 182 Panel . I have had them for several years. Bill Davis
December 4, 201510 yr I have two computers with Saitek rudder pedals. My main FS one has the Combat pedals and the other has the Pro set. Both sets work just fine, but my favorite is the Combat one. Two reasons, one is adjustability and the other is looks. I use the adjustability feature with the left pedal in the normal position and the right set toe down because my right leg is amputated below the knee and therefore I have no ankle movement. This way I can slide my foot forward to use the brake or down to the bar at the bottom to avoid using the brake. This also makes calibrating much easier. One thing I do have to watch out for, is to look down and make sure I've put my right foot on the pedal and not in between before I start a flight. That way I can make co-ordinated turns in both directions. A lot of people like the CH pedals, but I never cared for them. Chuck Nance
December 5, 201510 yr Author I made a video of me flying just using my mad catz 5 stick https://youtu.be/w-W385k_p5I
December 5, 201510 yr Saitek here for me two, the most reliable piece of kit in my sim pit, sturdy and works seamlessly with FSX. I have them bolted to a wooden base. - Paul Elliott http://www.avsim.com/topic/450607-amy-johnson-london-to-australia-attempt/
December 5, 201510 yr any thoughts anyone on goflight's .......... seem more real than most (foot position / angle / movement) http://www.goflightinc.com/collections/systems/products/gf-rp-2-rudder-pedals for now, cheers john martin
December 5, 201510 yr Author Same here. It's been years & years. If I didn't have pedals, then I'd use the auto rudder check box. I can't stand the twist stick method. Flew a bit of real helicopters, lot's of R/C choppers and planes, and flew as well as owned and stick controlled airplanes from the left or right seat. Just a matter of getting use to. In fact, the plane I owned, was left seat , but I always use the right seat (right hand for stick) method for flight simming. Have Saitek pedals. edit..............I'm using right seat or tandem controls, while flying left seat in most sim planes. Confusing I guess, but then all my controls are moused, or on the stick..............instead of the normal flow of hands on the dials & switches of real airplanes. I have to say fair play to you,I love forums as it is the best way to learn a lot from many different people
December 17, 201510 yr Author They are some super cool pedals and with a price to fit to  Funny i started off with only fixed wing being something i was interested in learning but the rc heli pilot in me keeps steering to free flight the helis...annoying thing is rc helicopters have a lot more power than the full size thing and fsx deems landing on the the roof's of random building as a crash
