September 10, 200520 yr Yes, I am one who has not been able to contact you. I purchased your tweak program and tried to follow the link to get some operatioinal tips but it didn't work.Perhaps you could direct me on speeding up the taxi speed of the AI using your program? Thanks.Dewey
September 10, 200520 yr Dewey,If you are referring to FSCongiguator and are asking where you change the taxi speed, it is under Tools in the drop down menu from the top. It's pretty self explanatory after that.Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]
September 10, 200520 yr Interesting.Ken - your site will not resolve with ping.Flight1.com will resolve, but ping times out. Pinging the IP above also times out. Yet I can open the site browse to new pages I haven't seen before.Tracert shows the ping dies out at ge-1-atl1-cust1.globalcompass.com (66.154.95.221) - hop 7 for me.Pinging the ip above has the same results. So I'm probably looking at either a mirror or a cached site.
September 10, 200520 yr I think I fixed my problem.I recent swapped out some hardware due to a lighting strike. Apparently, one of the settings was not allowing outgoing DNS replies from my DNS server.I have adjusted this and using some test tools I think it should be resolved.Anyone who was having problems, please try again and post here with results. Thanks,
September 11, 200520 yr Im glad it worked for you. I have not been able to acces the site (or Level D)since the 25th August. If I type in the IP address it take five minuts to load a page.I wrote to Steve and he is kindly looking into it. Regards Howard H D Isaacs
September 11, 200520 yr I can get there fine, Ken - it loads almost instantaneously.Ian P.(UK - Pipex DSL connection.)
September 12, 200520 yr Ken - You're sites no problem. However, whilst I can get into the Flight1 homepage at http://69.61.31.68/ I can't get any further. www.flight1.com doesn't respond. My ISP is Freedom 2 Surf in UK. Told them about it on Friday but they haven't responded yet.Graham
September 12, 200520 yr GrahamPlease see my post above. My ISP is the same as yours. I have phoned them four times and they have said it is a problem with the Flight1 server. I have spoken to Steve and he has contacted GlobalCompass. He says that the problem is with freedom2surf and has e-mailed some data. I tend to agree as no one else has a problem. When I get through on the phone to f2s I will fire a broadside as I am fed up being batted back and forth. Regards Howard H D Isaacs
September 12, 200520 yr HowardYes I think it's about the same date. They must have done something in their system. I had no problem with it before then. I downloaded the Beech A36 on 22nd July.Graham Elder
September 12, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi,This may or may not work for you because of how your connection is configured, but see this post. You can use another public DNS server (nameserver) to get your internet routing. This problem is most likely DNS issues with your provider. This is a good post...http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,13172930 Thanks, Steve Halpern Flight One Software
September 13, 200520 yr Steve/HowardMany thanks for your help.Howard - I've set up my primary DNS as the usual F2S one 194.106.56.6 and the alternate as the first of the public ones in that post on the Broadband Reports forum 4.2.2.1It works fine. I think the public nameserver 4.2.2.1 is actually faster than the F2S one. Is there any problem in using this all the time?Graham
September 13, 200520 yr I can't help on that question. By the way, thanks to Avsim for allowing this thread here as it is not strictly MSFS. Regards Howard H D Isaacs
