Takeoff speeds impossible to set

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

I'm new to PMDG, I followed the tutorial 1 everything gone fine.

I wanna fly by myself and sometime the takeoff refs are not taken, when I clik on the LSK R, It show me TAKEOFF SPEEDS DELETED and impossible to validate the speeds

I noticed that is correlated with the incapacity to  enter a temperature in Thrust ref, SEL field

Any ideas?

Usually indicates you've set something up incorrectly. Try the tutorial again, or at least follow its procedure while using your own route.

As mentioned in the tutorial, you need to set the thrust before setting the V-speeds.  Changes to configuration will result in that exact message.

In this tutorial he don't set any thrust but he validate the speeds on the runway just before takeoff.

And when I made this mistake is there any way to cancel?

Each time I must load a new defaut panel state .

Hi Dorian

Just ensure you follow the following sequence and you should be good to go.

1. Correct departure runway inserted.

2. On the "Thrust Lim" page, iinsert De-rated Thrust followed by Assumed Temparature, as required.

3. On the "Takeoff Ref" page, as you have supplied, just "Line Select" the V1, VR and V2 and the fonts will turn big.

4. Manually set the V2 in the MCP speed window and then ARM VNAV.

That's it!

Best regards

I assume that 3500 is in meters?

Yes in meters

11482 ft if I convert

Go back to the tutorial and go through the preflight steps again, looking for something different from the way you are trying to do it on your own.  As said, that message will be displayed if the aircraft configuration changes and be sure to set thrust before takeoff settings.

Dan Downs KCRP

There appears to be some keystroke or joystick press that is

Interfering with your FMS. It keeps reverting to normal T/O

thrust it seems. It as also probably what is interfering with

the takeoff speeds. Try again without any utilities open that

input into the SIM. Stuck keyboard keys etc etc. To me that is

what it appears to be.
