January 1, 201610 yr Yes, you can see the runway very nicely now. Other than a brighter runway, is there anything else that makes this worth $27 for someone that doesn't record videos and flies from the VC? I have ezdok and occasionally will look at wing views so those effects would be nice to see for the wings. But I like a few others here I think are trying to make this worth that high of a price tag for something that is mostly external to the aircraft and won't be seen for most of any given flight. January 1, 201610 yr Add my vote to worth the price ... I just wish Keven would do more aircraft, like the MJC Q400, A2A's, and Milviz, and .... These are a couple of 737 Immersion videos I made recently: Cheers, Rob. Quick question, does that top video have both preciptfsx and the 737 immersion pack? May treat myself as a New Years present....!! Dan Dan Wabe
January 1, 201610 yr I watched some real life landings from 737 vc and frankly speaking you rarely can see bright lights on runway. Usually they are dimmed somehow. That leads me to giving up on this package until proper recording software is developed for fsx steam. But precipitfx will be cool add on for sure. Tomasz Zawadzki

January 1, 201610 yr I watched the first video in the post above - is the blowing snow "wind dependent"? The takeoff roll appears to be done with a tail wind based on the blowing snow. That could indeed be the case, but wonder if PrecipitFX takes wind into account. Joe Lorenc
January 1, 201610 yr Quick question, does that top video have both preciptfsx and the 737 immersion pack? Yes, some of the FX overlap and aren't used if the 737 immersion pack is installed. I watched the first video in the post above - is the blowing snow "wind dependent"? That's from FT Copenhagen, not part of FSFXPackages. I don't believe it blows based on wind direction (but you'll have to check with FT dev) and the flight was NOT done to any level of proper procedures, simply to demonstrate FSFXPackages with FT's snow drifts. Cheers, Rob.

January 1, 201610 yr I've managed to get FSRecorder running with Steam edition (v 1.331) so I'm really happy with the results because it records all of the 737 immersion functions. What my problem is - this tool is a real performance HOG on DX10! Most of the functions work without impact but wing condensation effect just killed me. I was approaching Drzewiecki EPGD, which is not a performance killer and suddenly my FPS dropped from 28 to 6 when I was getting closer to ground. I watched the replay from FSRecorder later on and the condensation effect was the guilty one. So for now I switched this option to performance mode and I will monitor the results, but if improvement will not be there, I will switch it off completely. Lights are great and weather-dependant, all the other functions are really impressive. Together with PrecipitFX and rest of addons I had I have completed my flight sim in the graphics department. 737 NGX definetly deserves this package. Tomasz Zawadzki

Wing condensation can get me from 60 to 8fps sometimes and it never happened before on outside view. Maybe the should remove some of the layers to make it little bit less dramatic but at least it won't be killing performance THAT much. Pawel Grochowski
January 2, 201610 yr If you stay exclusively in VC then I guess there isn't much for you there. That's true, but I thought real world pilots walked around the aircraft sometimes? For that you have the P3D Avatar ... I'm sure someone has done a pilot avatar for appropriate company logos ... and that leads into St.Maarten ... who's gonna be the first to avatar behind jet wash? Cheers, Rob.

I'll try it today. Tomasz Zawadzki
January 2, 201610 yr Did you try to use reduced complexity option in configurator? In my videos I used reduced complexity and didn't notice and major FPS hit ... I actually prefer reduce complexity visually. Cheers, Rob.
January 8, 201610 yr Hi, I can't get those nice 'long' volumetric landing lights beams in fog, both from the VC and outside. What I get is graphically quite bad and flat, with colour banding as if clouds were 8 bit and it doesn't give a volumetric idea. My resolution is 1920x1200x32 and I have 1024 bit clouds, does that influence the aspect of the beams? Should I have HD clouds? Or what? Thanks. James Goggi
