Best Freeware Airports that work in P3d v3

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I'm looking for your best Freeware Airports that work for you in P3D v3, or even native P3D Freeware Airports.

I installed a few airports made for FSX and had problems with the runway and taxiway lights so I hope you guys got some airports that worked for you!

Cheers

Here's a good deal of Caribbean airports: http://www.strikingsoftware.com/pws.shtml .  There's a fix for missing taxiways in their forum: http://www.strikingsoftware.com/forum/index.php?topic=3031.0

These are as good as any payware I've seen: http://rwy26.net46.net/index.html

Here is a good collection: http://fsxairlinevirtual.blogspot.de/p/cenarios-fsx.html

Then there are Akesoft and others that you will find on review pages.

I have never heard of this site and was very pleasantly surprised by all of the content that is available including a fair amount of good quality photo-realistic scenery including all of Spain and Italy, as well as Hawaii and many other regions of the United States.

Thats true! Very impressive list of scenery.

But will they work in P3D without modifications? In my experience, there is often work required to get FSX scenery working in P3D, if at all. Most of the time there are missing buildings, which I think are referencing to FSX models which are simply not there in P3D. I don't know, but it's often a pain.

If only there would be confirmation that these sceneries are P3D compatible. Try and error takes so much time and is often frustrating.

Edit: I just tried to install this nice looking LTAI 2014 scenery found on this link and most of the buildings are missing. So these are not necessarily compatible with P3D. :sorry:

cheers,
