February 20, 201610 yr I'm copying and pasting the above to my own readme on VoxATC, very useful for understanding how it works with assigning SID/STARsThanks, Petraus I agree, this is most helpful - thank you Darren Morris
February 20, 201610 yr This seems to be a problem with ATC programmes that "give you" a SID/STAR it's invariably the wrong SID/STAR Not in my experience. The STAR might not have been the one I expected, where there was more than one possibility, but it always ended at the right place. Petraeus
February 20, 201610 yr Have a go at this flight plan and see how vox atc deals with it. LIPZ-->PZ488-->PZ412-->D112I-->PZ492-->PZ493-->PZ484-->ARLUK-->ROKIB-->GIKEB-->EKPEB--> BRENO-->INN-->RTT-->RTT-->LOWI The fpl altitude is FL240. The red wypts are the ROKIB 6J departure. This departure to the NW is always used and rarely changed except in extremely bad weather. So Vox atc should give you this one. The SID ends at above FL140 so when you get to FL140 ATC should continue your step climb to FL240. Fly to wypt 4 at 200kts. The STAR is BRENO 2A. It starts at FL140 decending to FL120 at INN continuing to RTT at FL120. At RTT ATC must decend you to 9,500QNH.(It's in the fpl twice because of the different altitudes and because it is a hold). ATC should hold you and descend you in the hold at least for one circuit. After RTT fly to the localiser then gear down and flaps for the whole descent (that is the airline practice). Full flaps at 5,500ft QNH. (This applies to jet transports9. You may need to update your scenery for LIPZ Venezia Tessera. As rwy 04L-22R is a taxiway. The rwy markings still exist but it is never used as a runway. G to Eurocontrol for tha latest charts if you see fit. NB. Ensure your a/c is capable of a full power climbing turn of 180deg within a 1,700meter radius and no more than 155kts. This is the Map procedure. If it can't do that then it is prohibited from flying into Innsbruck. Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA
February 20, 201610 yr After reading the 30 plus pages, thanks but no thanks, I'll pass. I dig that. Who would blame you? Regards, Graham Derreck CYMM
February 20, 201610 yr I'm surprised no one has really come up with something that directly alters the FS ATC, so that you have the same interface but ATC has more accents, knows/assigns SIDs and STARs, etc. Something like EditVoicepack, only more comprehensive. Is it even technically doable?
