Wilco 733/4/5 due out in October?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any info on this plane? I know they had a 737 for FS2000 or was it 02? Anyway how was that one. There are a few things that strike me as odd on the info page. Since we were on the topic of strange advertising, here are a couple of quotes from the Wilco 737 page."Talks are in progress to allow airlines pilots to train using 737 Pilot in Command !"and then"So real, it will be used by airline pilots !"I'm not privvy to any of that info so I won't make assumptions on the validity of those statements. Anyway, having said that, I don't care to get into topics that tick people off so aside from those two, the only thing that made me wonder was this one:"Overhead : major systems simulated"So can we expect full funtionality in the systems modelling like the LDS 767 or PMDG 747, or limited functionality as in PSS Airbus or the Feelthere ERJ.Disclaimer: Again, I don't like to start or enter into heated topics as I've learned over the years that making others mad isn't half as fun as it used to be. So just for the record, I'm not knocking any of the products I listed above, infact I own them all and then some that will fit into both of those categories and enjoy most of my payware addons. Thanks,Jeff

Well first thing to keep in mind with Wlico products is that Wilco does not develope anything, the publish someone else's products. PIC 767 (version one) is an example. Of course each developer has it's own contract with Wilco in relation to patches and what not. So it's best to look at who is actually developing the aircraft and look at their track record. Wilco has had a hard time the past few years but I think they are good for the comunity in general since they help others get out their product under a well know publisher. Their publishing of an airbus a while back became a thorn in their side (I bought it) so hopefully they have learned some lessons from that experience ;-)[h4]Randy J. Shame, we haven't had a decent 737 classic since the Dreamfleet 737-400

Jeff Bea

I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

I think this plane is really going to stand out and be a nice add on. They are also going to fix up their ERJ with more functionality after the 737.

Tim, there are more *hidden* shots within the forum as well if you wish to see more. Also, those VC shots were from quite some time ago and I can only imagine how it all looks now. I think this plane is really going to shake the ground in the FS community!

Ahem,>Considering it isn't even in beta yet I would doubt a Oct release will happen.I

couldn't agree more!you said it Paul, but becarefull, before you're banned with that statement. LOL

All,I have to agree with Cameron this plane is going to be something special, you only have to look at the previous work by FeelThere for the ERJ by Vic and the team to understand how this baby is going to shape up. There is going to be alot of functionality in the panel and FMC.I have attached a screenshot from the feelthere forum of the 2d panel (please bear in mind that this is a work in progress shot from some time ago)... :-) but it does look awesome.I have a personal interest in this aircraft and the 737/3/4/5 is by far my favourite a/c out there! This will no doubt make considerable damage to quite a few marriages as the hubbies (or wifes) will spend large chunks of time on their pc's getting to grips with this plane!CheersPHILhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/128372.jpg

"...we haven't had a decent 737 classic since the Dreamfleet 737-400"Yes, I used to love the DF 734 that was originally made for FS2000 and patched for FS2002. I recently dragged my copy of this s/w out and installed it to the 50-North bird, using a merge and FS9 update that was developed by Peter McLeland. It was only then, after flying it, that I recalled past comments about how the FLCH mode was done before anyone else had tried to simulate it. The model seems to want to preserve a 2,000 fpm climb or descent and uses some thrust changes to achieve this- which is incredible when one thinks about the state of our simulation products back then. The only downside to the merge is that the FSUIPC workaround required an emulation of FS2002, and the latest squawkbox "squawks" about it when FS9 is loaded. Also looking forward to the FT product, I agree that bit looks great.Bruce.

>How sad is it that forum users feel they can't even ask a>valid question unless it's full of disclaimers and apologies!>>http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpgIs it the sour grape, Paul? I remember those days when your company was on the top and you threated customers like dirt. Maybe you shouldn't sat on the 73X for 3 years.Pathetic...Quantasluvr

#####?!I was merely pointing out that this thread was started by someone asking a quite straightforward question, and that they felt that because of the attitude of some of the a**holes that visit this forum, the question had to be full of disclaimers; just to ensure nobody got upset."I" have never ever treated anyone on these forums (or others) like dirt..........though for you I could soon change. As for the Dreamfleet forums, I get the impression from posts I see here that they're highly regarded..........I can't even remember having to lock a thread let alone delete one! http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg
