September 27, 200520 yr hello All, Well, I have to say I put off buying Active Sky for quite some time, and then finally broke down and bought it -- then slapping myself for not getting it sooner. There are two programs I will not fly without, one is FSNav and the other Active Sky.Active Sky add's so much realism, beauty and character to FS, I don't understand how any serious FS addict could do without it. thanks for the effort in making this great program.Best to all, Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. September 27, 200520 yr Meh,FSMeteo, Active Sky, they're all the same. Which also means, they're all good. Jeff Bea I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.
September 28, 200520 yr Go with AS5 and use the clouds from flight environment.Greatest skies ihave ever seen and not that far from whati see at work every day.Darren
September 28, 200520 yr Absolutely NOTHING like Active Sky V. I could NEVER fly without it. PS.Although it doesn't relate, I could never fly without Active Camera, either.
September 28, 200520 yr Said and done.....I am at 33% downloading of the 93 Mb as I type. ;-)Happy contrailing,Staffan http://www.scandicair.com/images/as_banner.jpg Staffan
September 28, 200520 yr why is active sky better than the freeware fsmetar, which includes downloads for noaa, vatsim and ivao...then exports them to fs9? thanks...sherm
September 28, 200520 yr How does Actice Sky affect frame rates? (I'm running a P4 2.66 with an FX5900 and 1 GB RAM) Thanks
September 28, 200520 yr >why is active sky better than the freeware fsmetar, which>includes downloads for noaa, vatsim and ivao...then exports>them to fs9? thanks...>>sherm>I'm still trying to figure out what makes it better then FS9 default real weather? That combined with Flight Environment, seems to do a good job for me? It's hard to tell from the screenshots what it actually brings to the table.
